"My wife ordered the deluxe sashimi platter, which was overflowing with generous portions of various types of fish. The freshness was evident, and they serve real crab rather than the imitation crab that many places provide. I tried the Hoosier Roll and the Dynamite Roll, both of which were fantastic. The freshness of the fish really stood out and wasn't masked by overwhelming flavors; each roll was packed with deliciousness. Having had our fair share of sushi over the years, particularly in California where we often sourced fresh fish right off the boat, Kona Jack's brought back those cherished memories with its high-quality food and exceptional staff. We will definitely be returning!"

"The foulest restaurant! At this restaurant the overwhelming issue is cost. To keep costs low the restaurant actually re-uses all seasoned oil that is put on the tables for dipping in bread. They then bring it back out to other people who are eating the saliva morsels from the previous persons oil dish. YUCK! The hygeine standards of those preparing the food is beyond suspect as well. Also all the bread that is on each table and touched and picked at by guests that is not used will be later turned into crutons for the salad. Thats disgusting! The service at the restaurant is good but is limited to the extremely slow execution of the food. Most of the steaks recently are a brown and not a red color before they are cooked leaving me to wonder about the quality and freshness of the food all-over. Also when tipping your sever with a credit card they will actually only receive 90% of that while the restaurant/owner pockets the other 10%! Slimy!"

"we went on Valentine's Day, which must be the hands down the busiest day for any restaurant. no reservation, and it was actually overcrowded. but the host were still able to find us a table with minimal, reasonable waiting time. the staff was prompt, friendly, courteous and on it! and the food! everything was delicious! they must taste the seafood gumbo, simply delightful. the band playing in the other room was a good guide to our meal. very glad that we tried this place for the first time, the atmosphere was elevated and classically still covered. it was just what we were looking for, and I can't wait to go back."

"Food is tasty enough. Has a very nice atmosphere I recommend the patio to eat your meal. The chopped sirloin was tasty. I got mashed potatoes with it and the gravy was bland and the potatoes tasted like under cooked instant. My wife had the red fish and in her words said it was simple but good with perfect seasoning. She also really enjoyed the fried green tomatoes. My 1 star is off for those potatoes god they were bad. Other than that good place"

"I went with a group for a birthday. It was the worst service any of us had ever experienced. Our waiter only took a couple of drink orders and then left for more than 20 minutes before we checked in to take the rest of the table order. For the food we had to tell him that we had to order. Then he took 4 orders, went away and didn't come back. When we got him to come back after telling several other workers we needed to complete the order, he forgot that he had taken the first orders. He finally took a few more orders and went, again not to every person at the table. It took 2 hours in total and the food came out at all different times. We were all honestly very confused about what was happening throughout our dinner."

"My family and I had been planning to visit this restaurant for a while, and today we finally decided to give it a try. When we arrived around 5 o'clock, we were unsure if it was a 'seat yourself' or 'please wait to be seated' establishment since there was no sign indicating either. We approached the bartender, who was the first person we saw, to ask. His response was unexpected, as he asked us if we had a reservation and then made a crude remark to a customer at the bar. Feeling uncomfortable, especially since we were with my elderly parents, we decided to leave and dine at a different restaurant nearby. It seems that the bartender has been there for many years and is close to the owner/manager, which could explain his behavior. However, regardless of his tenure, I don't believe it is appropriate for anyone to speak to customers in such a disrespectful manner. Consequently, we have decided not to recommend this restaurant to others and will not be returning in the future."

"We started our meal with the Mussels in a white wine sauce, which had a pleasant wine taste. The Shrimp dish was packed with a generous serving of crabmeat over rice, and we also relished the Crab Cakes alongside flavorful potatoes. Though both dishes were tasty, they didn't quite meet our high expectations set by the review. Our server, Ozzie, was outstanding and the Inn had a delightful and inviting ambiance. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant for another visit."

"The wait staff was rude and incompetent. Spilled a drink on my daughter, and didn't bring extra napkins to clean up or offer to comp a drink. Spilled half of a martini putting it on the table and didn't offer a new drink. Barely checked on the table. Bartenders were rude and obnoxious. All in all, a zero. Much better places to go in Sea Cliff. Don't waste your money there."

"The hostess just passed by without an acknowledgment, and we waited for her return for about five minutes. We finally seated ourselves. The waiter came after a long period of time, and he seemed either annoyed or overwhelmed even though the restaurant was almost empty. When other diners arrived, the waiter was much more attentive. I think they were regulars. The owner is a nice person, but we get the same results concerning service. He may have problems hiring staff. We continue to go because my cousin knows the owner. We never go unless it is her pick. The food is good, but not so good to overcome the horrible service."

"Historic and cozy with well prepared food. My wife and I were thoroughly pleased with an excellent filet mignon and a large perfectly cooked duck breast for our dinners. Nice selection of reasonably priced wines by the bottle. The truffle agnolotti is worth the trip alone!"
