"Ate at Piastra for the first time this evening. Their reputation proceeded itself as for all my friends and family have been dining here for years and loving it. I have to admit, I roll my eyes whenever someone says they have a great Italian restaurant for me to try. As for most all are run of the mill and no different than the next American version of Italian food. Having had first and second generation Italian friends growing up, I know what true Italian food is like and well PIASTRA IS THAT! I must say it was even better than the hype. I had the Tagliatelle Nero di Mare….hand rolled (made in house) black and white ribbon pasta with Little Neck Clams, Mussels, Garlic, Calabrese Chilies (not spicy just flavorful), and white wine. I typically do not prefer clams and mussels but these will blow your mind with flavor. Don’t let the wait for a table discourage you…if all the tables are taken when you come here, do yourself a favor and sit at the bar. Noah will serve your every want and need. Hands down, he’s the most attentive server/bartender on the square."
