"I waited a few days to post this review.. with the hopes that I would have changed my mind about this place.. BUT I have not. I am a La Mesa Resident and I always try to give my business to our locals, and I wanted to give this place a try. I work in Mission Valley and decided that instead of us trying to go out or me to rush home and cook I would just grab some take out on the way home, and hubs was feeling like Italian that night. So I called in my order. Simple right?Lasagna, Fettuccine Alfredo I added Shrimp), Garlic Bread, and a Creaser Salad Very simple...Now when I got there of course there was not parking, I had to park around back, pay and walk to the front.. no big deal it's La Mesa.. Walked inside, and they looked semi busy there was two parities and a family. I said who I was and that I was there for a to go pick up. THE Staff was super polite by the way... way I gave 3 stars instead of 2) I paid the bill, and even left a tip. Waited a few minuets and the food was brought out very hot. I only live 3 blocks away and the food smelled SO delicious, imagine my disappointment when I open up the trays. The Lasagna looked like something from a frozen box, the portion was about that size as well. Hubs ate it but was not happy with the out come at all. The garlic bread was looked and smelled very garlicy just the way I like it) but I could not bite in to it. I was so hard. The salad was ok. it really was lacking the dressing. They only gave us 2 little dressing packs. Then here was my Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp... The first thing I noticed when I opened mine up was there was no white sauce.. the second thing I saw was there was mushroom I don't like or eat mushrooms.. I tried to just pick out the pasta and shrimp but it ended up being no go for me. I put the pasta in the fridge thinking that maybe my hubs would warm it up the next day..NOPE We ended up tossing out the left overs. Needless to say it was a big fail and waste of money"
