"We liked the guacamole and salsa. The medium guacamole was quite spicy. Each of us ordered a different kind of enchiladas and tacos and then swapped so that we could taste a variety. We were served promptly, which is great for those with evening plans. Our only issue was that it was quite loud, making it hard to hear each other at our table."

"We both decided to try the 3-course tasting menu at this restaurant. However, we were instructed to hold off on choosing our dessert until after our meal, as the tasting menu came with two lackluster dessert options. The food we tried was both intriguing and delicious. After completing the first two courses, we were presented with a larger dessert menu that did not include either of the desserts we had seen on the tasting menu. The server made some suggestions and we made our selections. To our surprise, when we received the bill, we were charged the full price for the desserts, as well as for what we later realized was only a 2-course tasting menu. This was not the great value we had initially thought. In our opinion, the server should have been more transparent about the dessert options instead of switching them up on us."

"Something has changed, maybe new owners? We hadn 't been here in a while and today we were very disappointed with our service. The food was good but two tables seated after us were served before us and were almost finished by the time we got our food. At one point I needed a refill of water and I looked up at two young men one who was the drink server and the other who was making salads. They were chatting. I made eye contact with the salad guy and waved at him and held up my empty cup he looked straight at me and did nothing. No acknowledgment whatsoever. Didn 't let the other guy know that I needed something. The other young man finally turned around and came over. This was after the waitress had said she was going to bring a larger cup of water with more ice and she had never come back with that, although I noticed she found time to goof off and chat for a few minutes with someone in the kitchen. We had been waiting a while for our food and they tried to give us someone else 's food. Waitress was very confused and commented several times that our table number was on the ticket. As if we have something to do with that or maybe we were mistaken about what we ordered. When our food finally came (it was actually quite good, eggs were cooked nicely, potatoes were tasty, bacon was meaty) we commented that it had taken a long time and the waitress said Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I kept looking back there making eye contact with the boss and he didn 't like it What does that even mean? The boss (who was actually her dad also) doesn 't like it when you try to make sure food gets out in a timely manner? Kind of lame to blame the kitchen for everything instead of just apologizing. Which come to think of it, she never actually did apologize for how long it took. They definitely need to work on coordinating their efforts and improve their service. Most likely we will not be back."

"Traveling this morning and so glad we stopped here for breakfast. We follow reviews and this place rises to the top. Omlettte, fried eggs, pancakes, toast, potato choices and coffee were all fresh, hot and delicious! Our server Rae was attentive, cheerful and very friendly! Hope to see you again on our next 300 mile trip south. (I just know we’re going to be sad we didn’t grab a pie to take home this morning"

"In the first 15 minutes, I witnessed a few kitchen mishaps (like dropped plates), cooks who were so overwhelmed they had to slow down the seating, and locals chatting with the staff about upcoming events. I genuinely felt at home here, and the food was simply fantastic and reasonably priced—where else can you find this anymore? Well, you'll find it at the Tastee Diner. The coffee was excellent, and the waitstaff was friendly and engaging. The food might not be the healthiest choice, but you'll definitely leave with a smile! I opted for steak and over-easy eggs with a side of hash browns instead of a yogurt fruit parfait. They do have healthier options, but let’s be honest—it’s a diner, and it’s all about indulgence! Just go for it!"

"Totally a Michigan diner located on Dix Hwy. Easy to find and ok food. Parking isn’t easy but not a big deal. I had the country fried steak, and unfortunately the gravy was ice cold. I think the breading and the steak overall was overcooked leaving me with not the best breakfast. Good coffee, good service, but there are so many diners in the area, you can probably find better. I like Zorbas on Fort St in Riverview better. Parking: Usually hard to find parking here. "I recently visited this restaurant for a quick breakfast and found it to be a true gem in Mocksville. With decades of history, it holds a special place in the community. I sat at the counter for a change of pace and was warmly greeted by a friendly server. I ordered 3 eggs over medium, hash browns, a sausage patty, and a delicious cookie. The hash browns were crispy and abundant, the sausage was tasty, and the cookie was a perfect golden brown. The restaurant was clean, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I have never had a bad meal here and I will definitely be back. I spent around $10, including a tip. Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant."

"This restaurant is in an old building, but the inside is well worth it with hot fresh old-fashioned homemade food, nice sweet waitresses, the best tea you could ever imagine and biscuits to die for. We had to open face turkey sandwich with fried okra and mashed potatoes and the patty melt with french fries. I give this place five stars all the way !!! I would come back and I would lose every paycheck to this business, if I had to rely on somebody cooking for me. . Do not pass this for breakfast or lunch. We came on a Sunday and they close at 2 o’clock, but they have an all you can eat buffet with the special pot roast, which is a family style with all the fixings, mac cheese, mashed potatoes, biscuits, and cornbread. Let me just tell you the woman that makes the biscuits here makes 400 a day and they go fast and they are delicious!"

"I ventured into this gem of a restaurant this morning for the first time, and was so glad I did!! Our waitress was sweet and pleasant. My one yr old grandson, and he mom was with me. We started out with pancakes served with fried apples. The pancake was so delicious. It had a pumpkin, allspice flavor and this golden butter that was poured on top of the pancake. It didn't even need syrup. I got the pancakes with pecans on top. However, once I started eating it, I realized there were pecans in the batter too. Absolutely delicious. The eggs, grits, and potatoes were also cooked to perfection. I said to my friend, I don't know who is cooking back there, but it was definitely done with love. She said, they got someone's Grandma back there cooking!! I highly recommend a trip to Lovicks in Kinston, NC! I can't wait to go back and try their lunch!! I hope the pictures help tell the story! "Love this place. Delicious home cooking. Friendly service and the food comes out quickly. You know it's good when it's always packed with locals. I've never been there and not seen someone I know. Yesterday I had fried oysters, french fries and slaw with hush puppies for less than $20. And it was all delicious. Also had a cup of clam chowder that was as good as you can get in a seafood restaurant."

"I received an email from OpenTable advising we didn’t show up for the reservation, which is completely untrue so be careful when checking in and you may want to do it twice just to make sure you avoid these inconveniences. WE DID INDEED attend the reservation. Not only DID we attend the reservation, we actually arrived early, only to be seated and then not receive service for 30 minutes. The best part of our brunch experience was being served by a waitress, who was already clearly having a bad day, and she certainly did not limit her efforts to let us know that. It may be hard to tell from this particular review, but we are typically the most easy-going, laid-back, understanding people when it comes to things happening in life. But to receive a false email chastising us NOT missing our reservation on top of receiving bad service is way too much! Get it together 360 Brunch House!!"

"We visited the restaurant on Saturday, November 11th, and after waiting for an hour post-ordering, several members of our group still hadn’t received their meals. During our entire visit, the staff never checked in to see if we needed anything. To make matters worse, they tried to charge us for food that was never served. I would not recommend this place; we certainly won’t be returning. It used to be a good spot, but it's not worth your money anymore. Save your time and choose a better restaurant."

"We absolutely loved our time at Art's Place, dining there twice during our four-day stay in Kitty Hawk. The first time, I had the crab cake sandwich, which was fantastic. For our last dinner, I built my own burger and had sweet potato fries—both were spot on! I do wish we had made it there for breakfast because I've heard amazing things about their pancakes and breakfast sandwiches. The best part of our visits was the warm and friendly staff. Despite the nationwide staffing challenges, the team at Art's went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent experience, being attentive and quick.
