"The large Beef with Broccoli was mediocre. The six Crab Cheese Rangoons were cold and required reheating. The sweet and sour dipping sauce had an odd taste. However, my hot Hot Spicy Chicken (large) was good—nicely spicy. We appreciated the variety of flavor options for the fried rice."

"Ordered delivery today and something happened with the food of this restaurant and it is not in a good way. I ordered house Fried Rice, which was dry, tasteless and had only a few shrimps. I also ordered pork with mixed vegs the most pigs was so chewing fat, I spit most pieces into my napkin. The broccoli tasted like I didn't know what and the mushrooms were soft and much to earth and I love mushrooms. Maybe there's a new owner or cook? I gave them more chances than I had. Save your money or try Thai or Japanese food. Seems they have better quality control and actually efforts in their food."

"An excellent purveyor of Japanese Malaysian) treats. They also have an excellent assortment of Japanese sake. I most often order the toro tartar but on my visit the other day, I tried the yuzu tuna. The cubed and lightly dressed tuna also scallions, roe and sesame seeds) was on a bed of greens in a heart shaped wall of thinly sliced avocado in a yuzu ponzu sauce. I am generally a bit prejudiced about avocado in sushi/sashimi but have to admit this was a very flavorful appetizer. I include a photo of the Toro Tartar and the Black Pepper Tuna appetizers and the Ten Zaru. One of the delicacies available from the sushi bar is botan ebi. The raw large shrimp is accompanied by the fried head. A rare delight. Another photo of a pair of botan ebi attractively arranged on a bamboo design plate. The agedashi tofu appetizer. The hamachi kama yellow tail collar bone) is a delicious accompaniment to cold sake. There are morsels of lightly grilled fish in the channels of the bones. I recently ordered a maguro, chutoro, otoro combination. A delicious tour of tuna flavors. The oshinko Japanese pickles) are a great accompaniment to cold nihonshu. A feast for the eye as well as the mouth."

"This restaurant is a local favorite of mine and my colleagues. The service is quick and efficient, and the portions are generous for the lunch prices, which typically range from $6 to $7 at most. The staff handles the rush of students from Cherry Creek High School very well. We usually try to visit during off-peak hours, as it can get a bit noisy with so many high schoolers in the small space. Overall, it's a wonderful little spot that offers a tasty and fast lunch deal!"

"Food quality/quantity and price is why I only give it 2 stars. We were pretty disappointed in the “small” amount of combination fried rice in a to go order for the price. Plus the price of the sesame beef, huge price for little quantity. Crabrangoon was tasteless too, no flavor! Fried rice wasn’t very tasty unless you add lots of soy sauce. If you have to add a lotof soy sauce, it’s not a flavorful fried rice. The sesame beef was not spicy at all, didn’t even have a slight kick, I hadfried rice instead of white rice on the side of this dish…there wasn’t even egg in the fried rice side, it was just brown incolor and tasteless. All that we ordered in total was the combo fried rice, sesame beef, and crab rangoon…our total with a 20%tip was $53.26. Terrible and expensive! I’d prefer to go to a good, tasty, more authentic Chinese restaurant for that price,not a good price for good ole American made Chinese food that doesn’t have much flavor. The fortune cookie quotes were noteven fortunes just generic no brainier sayings…strange. People who work there were nice though, they have nice chop stickstoo. I will not return to this location due to food quality and quantity at the price they are charging. I gave them 2 starsbecause the people were nice at the business."

"What a pleasant surprise! We decided to stop by and grab a bite to eat. I was expecting the usual low prices and generic menu options of a small Chinese restaurant; as well as the typical lack of depth in flavor with the dishes (especially outside of San Mateo and Millbrae). However, I was pleasantly surprised by the diverse menu offerings that stood out from the usual fare. We decided to try some standard dishes this time, but we are excited to sample some of their house specialties on our next visit! Upon opening the takeout boxes at home, I was impressed by the vibrant colors of the food, which matched the delicious taste. The generous portions were well-balanced with a good mix of meat/fish and vegetables. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the pan-fried dumplings had a satisfyingly chewy texture with a crispy bottom, and the sauce on the chicken was flavorful with just the right amount of salt and spice. While a couple of dishes were a bit on the greasy side, it was nothing to complain about. We even enjoyed the leftovers the next day, as the flavors had melded together even more. Our order included pan-fried dumplings/beef sticks, Beef Chow Fun, stone fish and asparagus, and Kung Pao chicken. We also made our own rice and vegetables (fried bok choy with garlic and salt)."

"This place has good tasting food meal portion was just fine (I ordered chicken lo mien) but my boyfriends meal size was very small (he got the mongolian beef which was lacking size and onions/veggies/any variation than just beef itself although it did have good flavor. I come here fairly often. It seems a little pricy to me. For cheese wontons and chicken fried rice I paid $16.00 without tip. Service is alright when sitting in the restaurant itself but to-go and pick ups are very fast and efficient. Tonight in my cheese wontons (from my pickup order) I found a fairly large size of thin plastic that was embedded in the cream cheese portion of the wonton. Luckily I eat my wontons in four bites (I actually pull off one corner at a time, weird I know) otherwise I would not have found it. My concern is that if a small child was eating this, that they could have choked. Please be careful! This is the first time something like this has happened here...hope this helps."

This spot deserves a look.Chinese food, to an outsider's palate can be complicated. It is easy for a Chinese restaurant owner to get lazy and give Americans food they will like. Orange chicken, some lo main, some steamed veggies, etc. And majority of us don't have a Zagat palate to discern. If its pretty good tasting, and the aftermath is manageable, we go for it.But this is Wen (the owner) and QuigDao is his spot is in Cambridge (one of the more sophisticated, perhaps slightly snobby areas on this Coast). Wen's food reflects all that.Yes, you can find all your typical orange chicken et al., but it is worth to take a little more effort with your chopsticks. Allow him to serve you fresh Lotus. Or steamed Chrysanthemum stems. His beef is excellent. (I haven't tried the pork) Wen (and his wife) is not your stereotypical Chinese restaurant owner. A bunch of accolades over the last 15 years attribute to that.I am not advocating for Chinese food in your daily regimen. But I INSIST you give this little place a try. And bring all your questions about cuisine, culture, and cooking processes Wen has deep expertise and is happy to talk. Or just try a take out. But with this particular spot, be bold. Try a few things you don't usually dare. You won't be disappointed. Excellent kitchen!"

"Nick here reporting for duty! We entered this quaint sushi joint prepared to take on an unpredictable taste test. To start we ordered some egg rolls. Piping hot, these are bigger than any egg roll you could fathom. What a value as its taste was delectable. It was a party in my mouth! Our party had three people, and my colleague Sarah and I had split a salmon boy and tuna boy. The salmon and tuna sushi were fat, phat, and flavorful (see pic). We savored every bite! Moreover, I ordered an Alaska roll. The roll had a perfectly balanced texture, through which the salmon and cucumber danced a harmonious waltz. Sarah ordered an additional spicy tuna roll, which packed a flavorful punch, yet left you wanting more. Ben is new to the sushi community and ordered a shrimp tempura roll. "The food was good. My wife found a one i,cu chicken bone with a sharp point. This bone was sure to get stuck in someone's throat and prove lethal. My daughter then found another huge chicken bone and nearly chocked. I would suggest to be very careful when eating anything chicken. On the other hand, avoid ordering anything chicken and be safe."
