"My family and I were very grateful for Jhong and his staff members Christian and Linda this weekend on our visit to 1618 Asian Fusion. Each member was very knowledge on every plate we asked about, and made great recommendations when we were not able to decide what to order The restaurant is located in a modernized quaint plaza with parking in the rear. We decided to start with the calamari, eggrolls, grilled octopus a crispy redfish. That redfish was the best fried fish I've had in my life. I have no clue how they got that crust on that fish! The crust had hints of pork on it, it was literally mind blowing. The calamari and 1618 eggrolls were fried to perfection crispy not drowning in grease. The char on the grilled octopus was perfect, and the flavor was to die for. The matcha salad was so refreshing and a great way to cleanse our pallets before our entrees were delivered. My wife ordered the fried rice, which was the best fried rice I've tasted in a while! I loved the kernels of corn in the rice. My son went with the pho with ribs after it was recommended by the staff. My son's mind was blown when he got a load of the beef ribs, and said he picked up hints of apple and cinnamon from the pho's broth. He absolutely loved it. I went with the garlic shrimp which knocked my socks off. The batter was out of this world! We ended our meals with the tallest slice of cheesecake I've ever had. Christian put on a show as he prepped the flaming brandy! The entire visit was quite an experience! This may have been our first visit, but it surely won't be our last! Thank you 1618 for the amazing lunch, we haven't stopped raving about you to all our friends and family."

"What a hidden gem of a restaurant this place is! The restaurant is tucked on the side of the parking lot and isn't really visible from the road. When you first in, there is a small bar area on the right. We didn't venture in there but saw it as we waited in the entry way. The restaurant was decorated for Christmas and had a sophisticated feel to it. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated within minutes of arriving. I wish I would've taken more photos of the inside because it was so pretty and classy! Very intimate table seatings and the interior gives upscale, date night vibes. Service: I would give the service a 5/5! Upon being seated, we were instantly greeted and asked for our drink orders. There were always someone walking around checking in on us, refilling our waters, asking how everything was. They were all very attentive. Drinks: I ordered the lecheetini and my husband ordered a White Russian. The lecheetini was so good! Perfect balance of sweet and a little sour. You can taste the lychee in it so if that's something that you don't favor, this drink isn't for you. My husband said that the White Russian was good and made well/strong. Food: If I could give a rating above 5 stars, I would!! All of the food that we ordered was amazing. For appetizers, we got the Thai beef jerky and miso soup. The Thai beef jerky was phenomenal. It was made with flavorful beef that was tender and so tasty. I could've eaten a full meal off of just those. So delicious! The miso soup was also good but was on par with any other miso soup. For entrees, we ordered the duck tamarind and pad see ew with shrimp. Let's just say that we cleaned our plates and there was no leftovers! The duck tamarind was delectable. The duck was tender and perfectly cooked, the sauce was amazing and complimented the duck. It did come with a side of rice, but honestly you didn't need it. The pad see ew with shrimp was also amazing. Probably the best pad see ew I have ever had. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and seared, the sauce on the noodles was sooo good and sweet, everything about the meal was amazing. My only regret is that I wish we had room for dessert! I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend coming to this restaurant if you're looking for delicious Thai food! We will definitely be returning."

"--- I feel the name of this restaurant doesn't reflect the quality of the food and service. Here’s my feedback from a recent visit: When my wife and I entered the restaurant, we were not greeted and ended up seating ourselves. A few minutes later, the owner delivered some menus to our table and then hurriedly filled two glasses with lime water, placing them in front of us. The lime was squeezed into the glasses, leaving pulp scattered both inside and outside. The glasses were overfilled and dripped when she set them down. While it was nice to have lime water, we hadn’t actually ordered it, and my wife isn’t a fan of lime. The owner took a long time to come back for our order, and every time she visited, she seemed rushed. She quickly returned to serve water to other customers and spent more time chatting with them, asking how they were doing and if they needed more water. At one point, she even complimented their food and patted some customers on the back. Later, the owner brought a plate of bean sprouts to our table, but they had a streak of what appeared to be lard or something unappetizing. When I pointed it out, she brushed it off as soup spillage and offered to replace it. I clarified that it looked more like lard or condensed milk streaks and politely asked for a replacement. When she returned two minutes later, the new plate of bean sprouts was watery, requiring me to use several napkins to soak up the excess liquid. She had simply rinsed the plate of bean sprouts and returned it, which I found inappropriate. Overall, the lack of attention to customer care left us disappointed, and we've decided we won’t be returning. If you’re looking for better portions and quality at the same price, consider Linh Son Restaurant in Federal Way; you’ll get nearly double the food for the same cost."

"We were very busy at work that week due to Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales, so we were ordering lunch via DoorDash also on Tuesday (12/1/20 . One of the co workers chose this location. I 'd keep it as 3 stars, but actually my rating is closer to 2.5 stars... The selection was scarce. The menu just had 5 different types of curry and a lemongrass pork dish (with roasted cauliflower instead of rice yuck! , and spring rolls. You could not even choose different proteins for a given flavor of curry. DoorDash categorized this location as Indian probably because of it offered curry, but the classification is inappropriate. Given the menu and available items, I 'd guess the best categorization is Asian fusion, as Yelp suggests but mainly Thai (as it offered red, green, and yellow curries and Vietnamese (spring rolls . It seemed like it only offered delivery. I chose the Yellow Chicken Curry, because the only other viable option for me was presumably Red Curry Steak, despite the protein being garlic soy steak. I couldn 't imagine (garlic soy marinated beef inside curry! The Yellow Chicken Curry tasted OK I actually liked the potatoes in there (which is a staple in Japanese curry, but not so in curries from other countries , but it actually was quite spicy for a yellow curry. As far as Thai curries go, yellow curries are supposed to be the mildest of the curries (the order goes from green, red then yellow , so I was surprised. It also came with lime and chopped peanuts . I don 't usually order a yellow curry from a Thai place (because it is mild , so I don 't know, but having all these toppings along with fried shallot already on it seemed a bit overkill. I squeezed lime on a section and tried it but decided no additional toppings worked best for me. It also did not contain much chicken."
