"SORRY FOR WRITING THIS BAD REVIEW………...as I don’t rate anyone negative especially in this current state of situation for restaurant owner’s due to pandemic. But, please don’t eat at this place. Order 1st time from this place as I know my Thai food very well. And I order Thai Fried Rice with Tofu. Menu online Uber says they use Basil,Chili,Bell Pepper, Garlic Onion. But after getting home I discover that there was “No Basil, No Bell Pepper No Onion” in my rice, I am left with just Tofu and Rice. At one stage I just tried to ignore it, but then I discover Mint and Cilantro in the rice. So I called the place and lady answer my call, so I asked her what do you put in your Thai Fried Rice, she took time to answer and ask me what happen. So I told her that I place an Order for spicy fried rice with tofu and I don’t see any onion, bell pepper or Thai basil in it and she is telling me “oh there is a bell pepper but we just put one piece, I said sure no problem and I saw one piece on top of the rice. So how about onion, then she tells me you only told me tofu, so I said okay. So how about the basil, then she said there is basil, I said no you put Mint Cilantro and she is telling me no no no. I said there is. Oh it might be mistake and I will ask cheif and owner to update the info and sorry and that’s it.But no courtesy from her or even ask me to bring it back for replacement of the dish after spending $13 for the small portion of I should say “ OILY RICE”. I just ate 5 piece of Tofu and left the rest of rice. Photos itself says a lot about food."

"My mom and I decided to have a lunch date after Mass, and she wanted to revisit California Thai Cafe, which she hadn’t been to in a while. Since I had never been there before, I thought it would be a great idea. The restaurant was relatively empty, so we were seated promptly. We ordered Seafood Pad Thai for my mom and the Crying Tiger for myself, along with a side of spring rolls to share. The spring rolls were decent, accompanied by a tasty peanut sauce. My mom’s Pad Thai was excellent—though it leaned more towards a fish version, the deep-fried fish fillet was substantial and flavorful. Unfortunately, the Crying Tiger didn't meet my expectations. I’ve had this dish before, and it typically comes out sizzling hot, but the beef was cold and lacked spice. I had requested a mild spice level, but this was too mild for my taste. The service was attentive, and the restaurant was clean, but there was a bit of confusion regarding the free drink offer from checking in on the Yelp app. They initially told us that the coupon wasn’t valid anymore, but they kindly gave me a Thai iced tea on the house. Also, I noticed that sodas are served in chilled cans with no refills, which was a bit disappointing. Despite my dissatisfaction with the Crying Tiger, California Thai Cafe does offer fried calamari and chicken wings, and I’m looking forward to trying their Pad See Ew in the future. I might return for another visit after work to see if my experience improves."
