"Today, I attempted to dine at Rita 's Gate of India, but was denied service when (in addition to trying to dine) I asked to use the bathroom. The host said, The bathroom is only available for customers. I understand that is standard in most diningestablishments, and asked if I could order some food (and I was hungry btw). She said (again), bathroom for customers only. Ilet it be known I understand and would like to be a customer and order some food. She said flat out, not tonight...youdon 't eat here tonight. I was taken aback while looking around at all the faces glaring at me. With that said, I politelyremoved myself from the restaurant. Now, more than ever, would be a good time for Los Angeles residents to come togetherespecially after what unfolded in city hall. This is an absolute disgraceful and unacceptable. I will be sure to spread the wordon how Rita 's Gate of India treats their customers. I cannot help but to think if I were of a lighter hue would the outcome bedifferent."
