"I genuinely love this restaurant! I've tried over 30 dishes from the menu, and I've always been impressed. The staff is extremely friendly, and I've known the owner for more than 15 years without any problems. I highly recommend the tortas, horchatas, and the steak with shrimp. I understand she?s the owner one time she?s nice and next she?s rude! "I’ve been a long time customer of El Norteno’s and one of the main things that had me coming back was the quality of the food. I’ve noticed the quality has significantly gone down over the last 3 years. I typically get steak tacos. I recently ordered and literally had to spit out half the meat from all three tacos. The first two bites, I had to spit out. One of the bites contained not just a chewy, rubbery texture, but literally a hard piece of non-chewable steak. Unfortunately, I think I’ve given this store too many opportunities."

"I'm writing this review based on our experience with the tacos. The service was excellent, earning a full 5 stars. The street tacos (served on corn tortillas) also deserve 5 stars. The bathrooms were pretty average and lacked any real character, but I have to give 5 stars for cleanliness and the staff. The rice and beans were average, but I really appreciated the local vibe of the place. We tried three different types of tacos: El Pastor, Chorizo, and Carne Asada, and all were delicious. I highly recommend this place, especially for the tacos. Next time, we’ll definitely try the popular #24."

The standout dishes are the cabeza street tacos, available daily, and the menudo soup, served on weekends until it runs out. The menudo tends to sell out quickly on Saturday mornings, so it's best to arrive early. The cabeza tacos are juicy and flavorful, reminiscent of those found in Mexico. The menudo is a personal favorite, and Campos serves the best version I've ever had. The secret may lie in the fact that it is made by the same experienced Mexican woman at all Campos locations. I eagerly anticipate Saturdays just to line up with other eager customers. This place is a must-visit for any Mexican food lover."

"Great bottomless brunch option for $55, gets you two shareable appetizers and an entree, plus as many mimosas, margaritas, blood marys and sangria you can drink in 90 minutes. The food was delicious, the staff was great and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The two shareable appetizers were chips with guac and salsa (both of which were delicious and freshly made) and this coconut French toast which was one of the best French toasts I've ever had!!!"

"When you pay 16 dollars for a steak burrito dinner, I'd expect a decent amount of steak. This is a lettuce burrito. The prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. I should have cooked at home. I work hard for my money and my food was not good tosay the least. The beans ehh the elotes looked like soup. I had gone here for years, I will never go again. I'm so disappointed,because it was so good in the before. We are in the after and now, you are better off cooking at home. I understand convinceetc, but don't bother. "Went to the new sizzling downtown restaurant. It was the worst food and experience I have ever had at a restaurant. The only American food was greasy ribs, burnt potatoes and hard bread. The enchiladas consisted of a dry crunchy tortilla and not much else. We sat down to eat what we had reluctantly put on our plats and couldn't get past a few bites. There was also shrimp tails in some sort of creamy dish I couldn't identify.Then if that wasn't bad enough I was charged full price for a meal my family and I didn't even eat. Don't waist your time and money on this place. Would give it 0 stars if that were an option."

"My enchiladas were the best I've ever had, and I've tried them at many places around Maryland. The chicken in the kids' chicken quesadillas was incredibly flavorful, and the fries were perfectly salted—not too seasoned, so you don’t even need ketchup. The enchiladas came with refried beans and rice, which were both delicious as well! The sauce had great flavor without being overly spicy, making it really enjoyable. If the food is always this good, I’ll definitely become a regular!"

Love the order the burrito you want, but you can pretty much build it how you want. It's great that they nickle and dime you for any toppings.
