"Tried El Piquin 2 for the first time today. The food was really delicious, and the service was good. The restaurant looked clean. The shrimp could use a bit more seasoning to be perfect. Update: Came back a few days later. I forgot to mention the great Latin music playing last time—it had me dancing in my chair, LOL! The chorizo is so good I had to return for more. My 13-year-old said it was a bit spicy after two tacos. The flan is tasty as well."

"This charming little Mexican restaurant features friendly staff and an appealing decor. I had the burro burrito with steak, while my wife opted for the combination of a tostada, taco, and enchilada. She probably would have preferred the fajita instead. I enjoyed a frozen passion fruit margarita, which was well-balanced and not overly strong. Overall, I enjoyed the food and would definitely return, although the prices are slightly higher than expected. They also offer a happy hour, which is a nice bonus!"

"Was visiting from out of town and just Yelped mexican restaurant and La Poblanita came up so I thought I 'd give it a try. I was waited on within 2 min of sitting down and I ordered the Steak Fajitas. They came out sizzling hot less than 10 min later. I am always a little worried about the steak because you sometimes get sub-par meat but no worries here. Meat was tender and marinated to perfection. Had my choice of corn or flour tortillas. My server checked back with me multiple times and the atmosphere was great also. Highly recommend. Kid-friendliness: Totally kid friendly"

"I ordered the chicken fajita burrito and specifically mentioned that I didn't want any tomatoes, having checked the menu beforehand. When I got home and opened the burrito, I found chicken, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and green peppers inside. The onions and green peppers weren’t even listed in the menu description. After I contacted them, they sent me a replacement burrito, which only contained cheese and lettuce. While the order was correct this time, the burrito was soaked in a pool of chicken juice, making it quite unappetizing. My wife had to reassemble it with the filling and a fresh tortilla. Not impressed at all."

"Both outside and inside very clean. There is an outside area for seating during warmer weather. Music both inside and out. There is a stage for live music on Friday and Saturday. No happy hour, however, we asked about drink speciials and were told the bar had a drink special $5 margaritas, which are tasty. Atmosphere nice. There is booth seating without the walls so the room is open. They have a candy store and banquet facility on the premises."

"I just had lunch at this restaurant, and it was a great experience. The place wasn't busy, so I was seated right away. The staff was very friendly, and the service was efficient. My server, Jorge, was attentive and helpful. I ordered the beef enchiladas, which were fantastic—definitely the best I've had in quite some time! The chips and hot sauce were also great. I didn't sample the margaritas since it was lunchtime and I had a busy afternoon ahead. Overall, the prices are quite reasonable."

"This is a lovely kiche spot for good family Mexican. I especially love the Gorditas, the best I've had. The food is always been great quality and you can't beat the price. It's clean, and for anyone in the area, it is fun to see how they worked the place from an old fashioned ice cream shop. The service is great, watched and accommodate gluten free easily, and are just Kind and Nice. Really a great local small business to support. Dietary restrictions: They understand gluten free. Brought out corn tortillas for the queso."

"Waited over an hour for a $50+ order placed online through their website. After waiting and waiting we called to check on it and they never asked what order I was calling about but insisted it was on the way with uber which is not how it was ordered. After FINALLY getting someone to understand this order was placed on their website I was told they do not really check that and that the order would just be cancelled. When I inquired about my refund I was told a manager wasnot there and that maybe they could call. I still have no refund and no lunch."

"You can tell the people who own this restaurant really care about presentation. I was unsure about this place because of the name but the inside definitely made me feel a lot better about what i was getting myself into. Place is very clean and tidy with decorations and digital games, I was unsure on where to go but I was greeted by a very nice lady who sat me and my girlfriend down. I ordered papusas my girlfriend ordered a burrito, i've only had papusas twice this being my third but i can definitely say it was pretty good other than the fact they're was a lot of oil not sure if that's just how papusas are made though. You can tell the people that cook are hardworking they're isn't really any flavor lacking but they're also isn't any crazy flavor boosts i personally got."

"The atmosphere is cool.Bar/restaurant vibe with good music and better when karaoke kicks off. Food looks great and is good but it 's severely overpriced. I 'm not much of a seafood person so I had the chicken flautas and while they were good, you pay extra for rice and beans. Ordered water when we got there and the rude waiter brought room temperature bottles you buy at Walmart and oh by the way he rang us up for $3 per bottle which he never mentioned they charged for water. Long story short I paid $22 for chicken flautas that are decent but I can have better flautas at any of the 'bertos for half the price. Wouldn 't be so bad if the waiter wasn 't rude and seemed to be very uninterested in our table, which was decent sized 12 top."

"My wife and I have dined at La Cabana several times and have never been disappointed. One of our favorite dishes is the Friday breakfast. "I’ve heard good things about this place until I came today to try out the birria from this restaurant. The service was good and the waitress was nice and friendly, very kind. However, when we ordered our food the birria tacos were dry and didn’t look very appetizing. It had a decent flavor but it looked and tasted like they did the bare minimum to make the food. My sister and my dad ordered 3-4 tacos of birria and it came with no consome. Which is weird because birria tacos come with consome but we had to order it aside which we got charged extra (ridiculous). The consome had no beef and had a burnt taste to it. Honestly the consome saved the birria tacos flavor wise because those birria tacos on its own weren’t that good. I got a carne asada plate and the carne was mid, it had a lot of cuero on it. Overall the place is overhyped and mid. I wouldn’t come back again. The food was decent. They ended up charging us almost $100 for 3 people and it was just 7 birria tacos and the carne asada plate which would be like $50-60 for everything including the drinks but they overcharged it was ridiculous because the food wasn’t all that."

"New Year, 2022: my first visit to the restaurant! I decided to try the lunch special, which included rice, a burrito, and a tamale. The second photo (which should actually come first) captures the chips and salsa I received right away, along with my unsweetened iced tea. I was pleased to find that the chips and salsa were delicious, and the tea was perfectly balanced—not too weak or strong. The meal was quite satisfying, so I ended up taking half of it home. I ordered a small frozen margarita for $5.99, the lunch special for $6.99, and the tea for $2.50, totaling $16.95 with tax included. As Arnold Schwarzenegger famously says, "I'm back!""

"Ordered the birria tacos. Very disappointed. Greasy, extremely dry and had little favor. Salsa verde tasted store bought and plain. Mexican sandwich is pretty decent. Can’t really go wrong with cheese, beans and rice. Had the Chicken added Queso. Chicken was a little dry but with all the cheese it wasn’t too bad. Ordered the Queso fundido appetizer with ground beef. This was excellent and almost a meal in itself. Server was very helpful and attentive. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back. Not authentic Mexican. They could work on the meat and seasoning."

"To say the least, the presentation was nice, but the food left much to be desired. The horchata had an unusual taste, and the nachos were incredibly bland. The beans were tasteless too; they were supposed to contain chorizo, but it felt like they were just pureed beans. The rice was good, and the birria tortillas were soft. Sadly, my mom ended up with food poisoning, which was really disappointing since I was looking forward to enjoying some authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine. Overall, I would rate it a 3 out of 10."
