When we ordered our first round of drinks, the waitstaff came across as condescending, seeming to struggle to hear us or answer our questions. This dampened the mood at our table. It was only by the third round that our server suddenly became attentive and familiar with the menu. It felt strange and off-putting; for the first time during our visits to various nice places, it seemed like the staff only showed genuine interest when they realized we were there to spend money. This created an uncomfortable vibe for the evening."
