"I highly recommend Mon Ami Gabi Bread was fantastic hard crust, warm soft center amazing butter (don't eat too much guilty here). French Onion soup perfect not salty at all, actually slightly sweet, possibly best ever. Had Filet with the W/Bordelaise cooked perfect med/rare, served with french fries that were out of this world, especially mixed in the bordelaise, Wife had the beef wellington which was outstanding also finished with creme brulee and for a special b day treat my wife received a nice scoop of ice cream with hot fudge that was amazing Service was perfect not too much yet every need was met. I would call this evening as close to perfection as you can expect Thank you Mon Ami Gabi for a wonderful evening."

"We recently dined at this French restaurant and was impressed by the food and ambiance. The Cognac flambéed truffle pasta was a standout dish and prepared table side the truffle and cognac was prepared inside a large wheel of parmesan cheese. The branzino flambéed with pastis was another highlight and was also prepared table side the fish was cooked perfectly and the pastis added a lovely depth of flavor. The presentation of each dish was also top notch. Overall, we had an excellent dining experience and would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for delicious French cuisine."

"The food at this restaurant is undeniably amazing. The ceviche tostada, a special item, and the fried green tomato Benedict were both packed full of flavor and beautifully presented. However, the seating policy being first come first serve led to a nearly 2-hour wait, which was quite unreasonable. It seemed like the slow service may have been due to a labor shortage as well. Despite these challenges, our party of 6 who arrived at 11am didn't finish brunch until around 3pm. Nevertheless, I would still love to return to try out more food options and cocktails."

"La Villa is one of the best dining experiences in Houston. The chef is creative, the staff friendly and accomodating, and the ambience is relaxed but elegant. The watermelon/strawberry gazpacho on the Summer menu is nothing short of a genius concoction. It's an explosion of flavor in every bite. I get it every time we go and dream about it until the next time. I'm hoping for the fall/winter menu that the Butternut Squash soup makes a come back, too. The Scallop/Risotto dish is heavenly as well as the Octopus. We've only had one disappointment here (the chicken) and it isn't that it was bad, it's just the accompanying braised cabbage isn't our thing. Having said that, the menu is diverse enough that there is always something new to try which is always fun. We love La Villa!"

"The other two diners had smoked salmon, vegetable soup, crab cakes, and flourless chocolate cake. The salmon was delightful and made me regret choosing the cheese. I'm not usually a fan of salmon, but this dish changed my mind. The vegetable soup was a chilled soup that reminded us of a tasteless watery salsa. The crab cakes were perfectly cooked and delicious. The flourless chocolate cake was moist, delicious, and clearly the best choice for dessert. The service was outstanding, our server was knowledgeable and had a great personality. However, there was a delay between courses and receiving the check, but it gave us more time to enjoy each other's company. I would return to the restaurant, but I would be more selective with my menu choices. Some items really made the evening, while others fell short. The restaurant was beautiful, the staff was excellent, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a special dining experience."
