"Here is what you expect to hear: Ritz Carlton....? Where, how? Yes the building that comprises the 100 rooms of the Ritz Carlton is actually NOT ocean facing, but rather ocean view, and mostly with direct view of Haulover beach as well as the ocean to the side. The location is somewhat dated, certainly very dark, meaning it was dimly lit throughout, and there is in fact work being done (at this moment) that made relaxing, dining, and attempting to enjoy a peaceful experience somewhat challenging. Decor in the rooms is somewhat dated and could use a lively refresh of sorts, as well as some additional lighting options The food options are mainly one location, the Artisan Beach House, where the service is attentive, courteous, and prompt, the food is delicious, and the view is superb. These are some reasons why a facility should warrant 3-4 stars out of 5, and my review is for 4 stars for the reasons I mentioned above. My review offers a slightly different approach to this resort, as it typically does to everything else I experience in life..... with a grain of salt, and maybe followed by a shot of 1800. This facility is ideally situated on the inlet of the ocean and intercostal, at Haulover beach. I would advise everyone, everywhere, and all times..... DO YOUR RESEARCH before booking. Yes, limited food options, especially if you are traveling over the weekend throughout the week, and would like to eat at locations other than Artisans Beach House on a Sunday and Monday. Like many food establishments, closing on a Monday is typical so again, do your research for dining locations before you come, and decide to be disappointed when leaving bad reviews because certain locations (outside the hotel) are not open. The hotel is clean, smells great, and seemingly all staff members there were present the same day the customer service class was being taught. All the team members are gracious, kind, and do what they can to accommodate your requests with a smile. That right there folks is 90% of hospitality service in a nutshell. Regarding other comments you read like water leaking from the shower, thin bathrobes, bad views, stains, etc. Yes.. this is Florida, and there are people responsible for ensuring the upkeep, and maintenance of these facilities. I mentioned that people are there to do the work, right? NOT ROBOTS, not AI- YET. So like most people, we are not perfect, and there is no such thing as perfection, even at the Ritz Carlton. Just because your perception does not meet the reality, doesn 't always mean that reality is not trying its hardest, and doing its best to meet every guests perceptions, and expectations as best as possible. Again.... hospitality is not a perfect science, and definitely not an easy task to make everyone happy all the time! The staff at the RCBH do their best, and they deliver on the premise of ensuring their guests enjoy a first class experience in one of the most prestigious, and pretentious locations in South Florida. Bottom line, this is a fantastic place. You should understand the price point before booking and posting negative reviews about the costs of items. The maintenance and decor updating is a separate matter that should always be addressed in order for the staff to acknowledge your observations, and comments. Again, if you dont say anything they cant do anything about it. A negative review on a public, social platform like this is not the best method through which maintenance, and special requests should be aired. Where I do agree with other guests comments is at the beach. The beach service, lounges, and umbrella service, ends at 6PM. Now why is this? Does that mean that after 6PM the guests of the RCBH must bring their own seating? There are certain rules and laws that are natural, and rational based on merit, function, and safety, but if there is no real reason why they roll up all the service at 6PM, then in this is a true example of where providing service to your guests seems to be overlooked. I can see past all the other little things, and yes, when you"
