"I was visiting family and realized it had been quite a while since my last trip to this restaurant—before the pandemic, in fact. I ordered a chicken sandwich and couldn't resist adding their jalapeño poppers, which have always been my comfort food since I was a kid. When I arrived at the payment window, I was warmly greeted with a big smile and handed a chewy chocolate chip cookie in exchange for my card. I was pleasantly surprised, and once I got my card back, I managed to express my gratitude with a "thank you so much." The gentleman at the window then handed me my food (which was absolutely DELICIOUS) and waved me off with a cheerful goodbye. Later on, my brother mentioned that they had started giving out cookies as a small gesture to show appreciation for customers' continued support during the pandemic."
