"The drive-thru service here is frustratingly slow, even when I was the only one in line and ordering just one item. They still made me pull up and wait for 15 minutes. I could understand if there was a line or if the parking lot had cars in it. The food quality seems to be inconsistent. I did enjoy the ribs, but I think the prices are too high for what you get, especially the tiny Styrofoam cups they use for sides. I couldn't believe the mashed potatoes and beans were only worth two bites each, although they did taste good. The curly fries they served me looked cold and sad, but I didn’t feel it was worth my time to complain. The corn on the cob and mac and cheese I ordered as extras were shockingly bad; I can't believe they even served them to me. I was disappointed because those items are usually hard to mess up, which suggests that the kitchen staff doesn't really care. As for the cod sandwich special offered on Fridays, forget it—McDonald's Filet-O-Fish tastes much better and is less expensive. On a positive note, the buffalo chicken wrap and coleslaw were great. Overall, this place feels like a gamble. I'm willing to give it a few more chances because the ribs were decent, but if I have another negative experience, I’ll say it's just not worth it for me. The Alsip location has the potential to be very popular if they could address these issues. Right now, it feels like I'm being shortchanged when I eat here. The prices could be acceptable if the food and service matched the cost."

"Second visit here, and was truly looking forward to it. Our first visit was many months ago since we don 't live near the restaurant. We had found their pizza and Caprese salad delicious, so we wanted to explore more of their menu. We arrived around 5pm last Friday to find the restaurant not very busy, but this was on since -like many places- they appeared to be short-staffed. In fact, a manager ended up being our server for the evening. Fresh baked bread slathered with garlic butter was promptly brought out while we perused the menu. My wife ordered Chicken Piccata and I decided on the Chicken Marsala. We each got a Caesar 's Salad as well. As we were finishing our salads, the manager/server apologetically informed us that she had mistakenly forgotten to put our order into the kitchen, and that our meals would be a bit longer coming out. We shrugged it off, as this would give us time to digest the large salads. About 20 minutes later our food was brought out, fresh and hot. Her Chicken Piccata was tasty and 'mostly ' tender from her description. However, the chicken breast in my Marsala dish was tough as leather. I could tell it was cooked too hot and too fast. The Marsala sauce was more like a mushroom gravy, nothing like a Marsala wine sauce. When the manager/server checked on us, asking me if the sauce was ok, I let her know that my chicken was too tough to chew. She asked me again about the sauce, admitting they had to doctor it up from being too salty earlier in the day. I told her it was alright, but reiterated that my chicken was too tough to chew. She replied that she would bring us some to-go boxes soon. She never once replied to my statement about the tough chicken, not offered a replacement or discounted bill. We 'll have to reconsider visiting Roma Mia a third time since NOTHING was done to correct the ONE issue I had with the place. Four days later my leftovers are still in the fridge waiting to be thrown out. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

"I came here twice in one day, because I got dragged there the second time. For lunch a friend and I stopped in. It was quiet with only a few local regulars. The bar tender and waitress were both really personable and I enjoyed the small talk with them. A gin and tonic and a coors light was only $6.50. That 's a nice change of pace from the expensive drinks in DC where I spend many of my weekends (Marylander here). We also ordered food. I got the chicken francese and my friend got a dish with pasta, mussels, and shrimp. Both were pretty good! Nothing out of this world, but a nice solid meal. We went again in the evening and the gentleman who carded me had me step out into the little store area. I guess he recognized my friend, so he didn 't card her. I handed him my Maryland drivers license, and that wasn 't good enough for him. I 'm not really sure why, as it looks like a standard license. I only got rid of my NJ license a few years ago. He asked for another form of ID, and luckily I had my military ID. He stared at it for a while, but didn 't even turn it over to look at the birth date. He kept staring at it until my friend said Come on, he 's 28. He 's fine. And he handed my ID back. I 'm not sure what his deal was. The inside was much more lively and the drinks were still just as cheap! They had live music playing and the band was great. It seems like a great local bar to hang out, but bring a second form of ID with you if you are from out of state."
