"Managed to get rid of the kids long enough to treat me and the missus to a fine meal. Didn't have a reservation, but they were more than happy to seat us at the bar, which was fine because we were WAY under dressed. The bartender was very friendly, and makes a pretty fantastic old fashioned. We ordered the WHO DAT shrimp, petite filets, French onion soup, turtle soup, sautéed mushrooms and au gratin potatoes. Bottom line I've had better food, but I can't remember when.The shrimp were amazing, the filet was so tender it didn't need a knife, the French onion soup was rich and cheesy, the mushrooms were some of the best I've ever had, and I'd take the au gratin potatoes here over grandma's. The worst partof my experience here was having to waddle back up to the hotel room afterwards for a nice lie down. 10/10 food, staff and ambiance."
