"We ordered the Sarma and the pasty, but our food took about five minutes to arrive without silverware due to the restaurant being understaffed. The pasty was barely lukewarm and lacked distinctive flavor. The gravy it came with was served in a plastic container and had a layer of congealed skin on the top, which looked quite unappetizing. The Sarma was the highlight of our meal, but it was dominated by the taste of sauerkraut and came on a very small plate. Both main dishes were priced at $16, which felt steep given the quality.
With a name like Iron Ranger, we expected at least decent food, but overall, we cannot recommend this restaurant. The staff were friendly but clearly overworked. We also learned that the menu had recently changed, which could explain the decline in quality compared to what we had heard. To top it off, they no longer serve poutine, which was a significant disappointment and the main reason we came here in the first place."
