"I have been coming here for years. My dad was a resident in the Garden Care center across the street and I would frequently wheel him over in his wheelchair for lunch. Today we stopped in for a late breakfast with mom. I enjoy coming here because eating here is like living in a Twilight Zone episode. Nothing changes. The menu, the staff, everything is the same. The menu here is more like a diner menu. I like it because there is something for everyone. I would usually get a corned beef sandwich for lunch while dad would eat lasagna or a Reuben. Today we had eggs for breakfast. Nothing spectacular just standard fare. Perfect for my taste. The service is a bit slow and the staff not overly attentive (have you seen my server) but that is part of the charm of this place and why I will keep coming back. I will always have fond memories of my lunches with dad at the Alpine"
