"This was, without a doubt, the most disappointing barbecue experience I’ve ever had. To start, the meal—which included a tray of food, a side of mac and cheese, and a bottle of SHASTA cola—cost $65. I genuinely love barbecue and had wanted to try this place for a long time since I used to pass it on my way to work every day. However, after taking just a few bites, my fiancé and I couldn’t even finish our plates because the food was simply inedible.
The pulled pork was so tightly packed that it resembled a mushy mass. The brisket was severely overcooked and overly chewy. The rib tips were so heavily seasoned with liquid smoke that I had to spit them out—something I’ve never done before. The spare ribs and chicken were average at best, and the mac and cheese was bland and unexciting. And as for the Shasta cola? If I wanted that, I would have gone to the dollar store.
The only redeeming item we found was the chicken nuggets from the kids' meal we ordered for our daughter. Overall, this was an expensive and disappointing experience. I wish I could say I would come back, but at this point, I can’t see either of us ever returning. What a shame."
