"Crusoe 's catered our wedding, over 40 yrs. ago. When word came of their possible closure, we were among the many fans who rushed to bolster their business. We were very happy when the owners decided to stay open. That is why I write with concern now. On a recent Friday evening visit, we were kept waiting at the front door, for anyone, to greet us and show us to a table. When we were finally ready to order, my daughter-in-law, ordered chili and was told they were out of chili and soup. She ordered something else. When my wife asked what the house dressing was for her salad, the waitress wasn 't sure they had any. My wife ordered ranch dressing. When I ordered sides for my 1/2 chicken, I was informed that they were out of corn on the cob. I ordered onion rings and slaw...out. I finally ordered smashed potatoes and green beans. The potatoes were nearly soup and barely held the gravy on top. The green beans were canned, as usual, but the flavor was very off. By the very light crowd, I could only wonder if this is the way things are going? It would be a shame to lose this iconic restaurant but it would be worse if they go under leaving a bad taste in everyone 's mouth."
