"If you’re going for the sushi, I recommend you don’t bother. Worst sushi I’ve had by far. Barely anything in each roll despite what the descriptions make it sound like. I’ve never been so disappointed in sushi before. And I went on a slow Monday night, so it wasn’t because the kitchen was busy. And the miso soup was the smallest portion ever, barely filled the bowl halfway. Spent a lot of money here on appetizers and sushi and really disappointed, wish I went anywhere else. I wasted my money coming here for sushi. And I was celebrating a special occasion so it was even worse. I just can’t get over how little was actually in their sushi, and for regular sushi prices as if there was a good amount of fish inside. So mean of this restaurant. It’s also bad service. Not attentive at all. Had to ask the front desk for the check because the wait staff was no where to be found ever again after bringing us the food. The female who does the hibachi here with the deep voice is not funny or nice and was obnoxious and rude. She was also mean to a little kid, asking a 5 year old girl if she wanted a tiny toy chicken, handing it to her, then a few moments later telling just kidding and snatching it back up, cackling. She’s extremely way too loud too. The guys at the other tables were much better, funny, and nice. Also what in the world is up with the rated r statue that greets everyone at their front door? Literally saw a mom have her young kids pose with it for a pic not noticing the giant, fully erect. If you want a Mountain View in their lounge with a drink, great. The food and staff, I don’t recommend, especially not the sushi. The sushi wouldn’t even be worth it if the prices were cut in half. They’re not true sushi rolls with typical sized fish fillings inside. Not fair of this place. I’ve never complained about sushi from any restaurant before this. I wasn’t forced to do valet parking on the slow Monday night but the previous time I went, I was forced to do valet parking. I had no idea they had mandatory valet parking and am so against that. They need to add that to their website, it doesn’t state that anywhere. The valet guys are very rude too. And they knocked the cup holder off my door and didn’t put it back on! Also removed the cover from my seat. They weren’t careful at all driving my vehicle and didn’t treat it with respect. I don’t appreciate being forced into valet parking, Mt. Fuji."

"Azumi is an Japanese fusion restaurant with a nice view of the water. Some issues started during ordering. Initially they weren’t able to accommodate a pescatarian for the omakase option. They were able to make adjustments on the fly, but at this price point (comparable to Michelin star restaurants) in a sushi restaurant the initial lack of variability seems a bit silly. The omakase was generally good, but had a few misses. At this price point that’s pretty rough. Dishes were also rarely explained, which would have been a good touch. As far as dishes go: Yellowtail jalapeno was oversauced. Crispy rice tuna was great in texture and taste. Tempura crab was also excellent. Wagyu gyoza was good too. The california roll was good (and uses real crab, to be clear). Sashimi and nigiri were good but not particularly standout. Wagyu beef was fantastic. The pescatarian received miso black cod, which was also delicious and perfectly cooked. The Spicy lobster miso soup was unfortunately too salty for most of the table’s taste. Dessert was a great way to end the meal though. The coconut almond chocolate bar and strawberry tofu cheesecake were all incredible. Service was generally good, with regular checkins and water always being topped off. Overall, a good experience, but probably just go for the fried appetizers, the wagyu, and the desserts. The tasting menu didn’t quite feel worth it, and the sushi didn’t stand out for the price."

"Masu's Sushi, located in the heart of Oregon, is a culinary gem that offers a unique dining experience. The restaurant, which takes its name from the traditional wooden box used to serve sushi, combines a blend of Japanese tradition with a touch of modern innovation. My recent visit to Masu's Sushi left me with an array of impressions and flavors. Situated in a bustling area of Oregon, the restaurant's exterior is unassuming, and you might almost miss it if not for the subtle yet elegant sign. However, stepping inside, you are transported into a cozy and inviting space. The interior is a harmonious fusion of contemporary design with nods to Japanese aesthetics. The lighting is warm, and the decor includes elements of traditional Japanese art and design, creating a sense of cultural depth and authenticity. While it's not a large venue, the intimate setting adds a personal touch, making it a perfect place for a special dining experience. The star of the show at Masu's Sushi is undoubtedly the cuisine. The menu is a culinary journey that showcases a wide variety of sushi and sashimi options, as well as creative fusion dishes. The focus here is on using fresh, high-quality ingredients to craft memorable flavors. The sushi chefs at Masu's demonstrate an impressive level of expertise and a passion for their craft that shines through in every dish. The sushi and sashimi offerings are a testament to the precision and artistry of Japanese culinary tradition. Each piece of sushi is a work of art, with the fish so fresh it practically melts in your mouth. The subtle interplay of flavors, from the sweetness of eel to the delicate umami of uni (sea urchin), showcases the chef's skill and attention to detail. What truly sets Masu's Sushi apart is its unique fusion creations. The menu includes inventive rolls that combine traditional Japanese ingredients with unexpected twists. The Dragon Roll, for example, features succulent shrimp tempura, creamy avocado, and a drizzle of eel sauce for a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The Green Tea Ice Cream for dessert is a must-try, offering a delightful blend of crispy and creamy. While the atmosphere at Masu's Sushi is more intimate than the grandeur of Applebee's, it's a charming and memorable experience for any food enthusiast. The genuine appreciation for Japanese cuisine and the dedication to creating memorable dining moments make Masu's Sushi a standout dining destination in Oregon. Drove all the way from San Rafael just to eat here so worth it"

"I wish I could give a negative star to this restaurant. My friend was visiting from Philadelphia, and we were so excited for restaurant week. I made a reservation weeks ahead, and we still had to wait minutes for our first course. When the first course came out, the server spilled an entire bowl of soup all over the table, all over my friend's clothes, and splattered all over my purse and jacket. At first, we were very understanding since mistakes can be made. Well, the server just gave us some wet wipes to clean our clothes but never offered or showed proactiveness to clean the table for us. Then he offered a free dessert... We started getting really frustrated because we couldn't believe that that was the best that they can do. So we asked to speak to the manager, and the manager Tania came by with very frustrated attitude, and said We can give you a dessert and discount. But that's all we can do. What else do you want us to do? Give you a free meal? We can't do that. It was a mistake. First off, we were not at all looking for a free meal as we were already planning to spend money for the restaurant week experience and drinks. But she had completely disregarded our plans for the evening which was already delayed because of late service and we had a showing to go to, which we now had to rush through our meal. Then she acted as if we were being unreasonable for being frustrated at her attitude. We didn't finish the meal and ended up leaving, and our dinner plan was completely ruined. We will NEVER go back to this restaurant, and we wish that the restaurant wouldn't do this to any other customer, but I wouldn't be surprised if they continued offering this kind of rude service"
