"Best Sushi Happy Hour in town. I always take it as a good sign when I see Japanese sushi chefs behind the line at a conveyor belt Sushi restaurant. I've been to Hot Pot n Sushi many times, but often I visit for their amazing happy hour. From 6pm to close, every plate on the line is $1, and only requires a beverage purchase.<br/ <br/ After going to happy hour several times, I'm noticing that the chefs like to alternate what they put on the line. You'll always see the basics--Tomago, Gyoza, California rolls, etc. However, there are usually some delightful treats mixed in as well. Yesterday, it was a tempura roll with prawn, crab and avocado, served warm...delicious. The seafood is always fresh, as evidenced by the ocean-like flavor of the salmon nigiri.<br/ <br/ The staff are friendly and quick, and really try to get everyone seated as soon as possible. The chefs are always happy to accommodate orders...I usually like an order of seared salmon. For the quality and flavor, you can't find a better deal in Portland."
