"Despite making a reservation with a request to be seated in a quiet place we were led to a table between tables with lots of people yet the place seemed 8o% empty. We then requested the empty end table but were told it was set for a party of five. Imagine my disappointment when two people were then seated at the 'alleged ' table for 5 just after we sat down. A pure level of disrespect when there are many other fine newer steak houses all around. The next day the restaurant called me to say thank you. I told them nicely how we felt. The manager who clearly wasn 't listening, responded, oh no need to apologize ! Seriously? Whether a tourist, a billionaire or someone using savings to take someone out special, we all deserve to be treated respectfully and appreciated for our patronage without their snobby arrogance."

"We used to adore this restaurant, but it has declined in quality in recent years. The food is average at best. Both of my husband's salads were soaked in overly thin dressing. My mambo salad lacked the delicious spicy dressing it used to have. I used to finish the entire salad, but I could barely eat this one. While I understand that this is a steakhouse, the appetizers should still be good considering the high prices. The sushi was below average and the calamari was served with a disappointing sweet sauce instead of a traditional marinara or cocktail sauce. Our drinks took around 15 minutes to arrive, possibly explaining why they were watered down with ice. It felt like they had been waiting at the bar for too long. My husband mentioned that the men's restroom was dirty, although the women's restroom was fine. Mastros seems to have become overly commercial and touristy. Lastly, I believe Mastros should renovate the establishment, starting with replacing the carpet."

"I came here to treat my partner to a lovely birthday dinner and ended up BEYOND happy with the occasion, food, and treatment received!! I made a reservation and mentioned that it was my boyfriend 's 27th birthday, so they added a personalized note to the menu to commemorate it and ensured we received excellent treatment and a had a wonderful experience throughout the entire evening! Starting off with a pair of cocktails, I thought they were all very creative, strong, and full of various flavors! The Purple Mist was my personal favorite it has a purple color as you may suspect), flavors that both come both a bit strong and others that are more subtle, as you might suspect, and includes an edible flower! Alongside these we also got a basket of bread and some clam chowder soup. The bread came in several varieties and were all great quality, and the soup was absolutely delicious. I felt it was the perfect way to start the evening, warm the stomach, and dip some of our bread into! For the main course, we split one of the 16oz New York Strips for $70, which for at least, was MORE than enough for the both of us. The steak came cooked perfectly medium as requested and I 'm admittedly not a huge steak connoisseur) tasted delicious! My personal favorite dishes are what most people would probably consider the sides, so I was in love with the Lobster Mashed Potatoes $40), White Cheddar Mac N Cheese $15), and Creamed Corn $15) that we ordered to accompany the steak!! Everything was so creamy, cheesy, and absolutely delectably wonderful! Throughout the evening, the service from all the staff was very friendly and helpful, as this was our first time visiting a Mastro 's. For dessert, we had a couple more cocktails and they provided us with a little 'Happy Birthday ' cheesecake! It came with loads of whip cream on the side to dip your bites in if you so desired and was the perfectly sized dessert for us, as we 're not the biggest dessert people! The views and vibes are also immaculate we were directly by the window but were still able to enjoy the gorgeous view outside as the sun began to go down. There 's also a few lovely areas just outside the restaurant for some photos if you so desire. To close, Mastro 's Ocean Club in Malibu is the PERFECT location for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions! We were wonderfully treated throughout the evening, enjoyed everything we ordered, and would certainly be happy to return in the future! I felt this was an excellent value for the quality and ambiance of the experience!"

"Went to this place to celebrate my brothers birthday on a Sunday night and our reservation nicely accommodated all 8 of us. This place is beautifully decorated and the ambience is great. The steaks are delicious and so are the side dishes. The staff is very friendly and helpful all throughout the night. I’m not even a cheesecake person like that but their cheesecake is pretty good. "Our son took us out for dinner here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and it was a delightful experience for all of us. He had previously worked with a relative of the owner at a nearby country club, and now he collaborates with many people from Conshohocken who rave about this restaurant. That’s what brought us here, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere transported me back to Rome, Italy. I enjoyed the Shrimp Fra Diablo, which was outstanding, while our son had the special ravioli that was delicious and tasted homemade. My husband devoured a chicken and tortellini dish that he found incredibly tasty. The bread was fantastic, and we couldn’t resist Grandmom's vanilla cake—it was heavenly. We will certainly be returning! As for parking, there’s plenty available on the street within a block or around the block from the restaurant."

"There was a group of six of us that went for dinner. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. The waitress was terrible, treated us like we were a group of kindergarten children. Her customer service was demeaning(many of us are over 65).She appeared as a puppet, reciting directions. When we return, we will not be sitting at one of her tables."

"During my last visit, I remember some standout cocktails: if I recall correctly, the 'Brooklyn Nail' and 'Cucumber Spring Water' were both excellent. For starters, we enjoyed 'On Dough' (flatbreads) with Mediterranean steak and bourbon pulled beef, both of which were fantastic. The dough was just right—not thick, chewy, or heavy like at some other places—making it a perfect starter for a large group or a date. We also tried the tuna tartare and smoked beef tartare, and the cocktails we had between dishes were fabulous. The smoked beef tartare was the best I’ve ever had! For our entrees, we shared the bronzed fish, which was epic—cooked perfectly with amazing flavors, and the fish was super fresh. The bourbon beef ribs were exceptional, too. I’m a huge fan of veal, and it’s often hard to find it done right at other restaurants, but Bison and Bourbon absolutely nailed the veal chop. I highly recommend it! As for sides, I had several, and they were all delicious, but the bourbon cipollini onions (which had a great kick!) and sautéed kale are must-tries. Oh, and don’t forget to order the chickpea snack from the bar menu—it’s a legit choice! Although I’m not usually a dessert person, everyone in my party loved them. I did try the banana bread pudding and it was fantastic—I even finished my buddy’s portion while he took a call! Here’s the kicker: the atmosphere is unparalleled. We dined outdoors in the courtyard, which has a great vibe—chic with plenty of space between tables. Our waitress was phenomenal; she knew the menu by heart and was very attentive. The timing of the food delivery was perfect, too. Oh, and both times I found parking in under 30 seconds and within a block. Winner, winner, bourbon dinner!"
