"The dining room at the back has a charming rustic atmosphere, the service from Sal, the owner, was exceptional, and the food was delightful! Even my Pop-Pop, who hails from Italy and is an award-winning professional chef, praised it—quite the accomplishment! The bread was fresh out of the oven, served piping hot, with a crispy crust and a soft interior, and the butter was at room temperature, making it easy to spread. The calamari appetizer vanished in moments, and my seafood-loving husband claimed it was among the best he had ever tasted.
For our main courses, I chose the chicken francese, my usual Italian order, and it boasted the best sauce I've ever experienced. The chicken was tender and perfectly cooked. My Pop-Pop went for the classic spaghetti and meatballs and adored the red sauce, remarking on its freshness, along with the generously sized meatballs. All the pasta dishes were cooked to perfection—al dente—and the cheese sauce in my mom's fettuccine Alfredo was the ideal balance of cheesy and creamy.
The prices were incredibly reasonable, as were the portion sizes. However, the highlight was definitely the service from Sal. On the night we dined, their regular server was unavailable, but instead of turning us away from dining in, the owner himself stepped in as our waiter. He was friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. The staff even stayed a little late to allow us to enjoy our meals without feeling rushed.
We will definitely be returning to try some of the fantastic specials Sal mentioned, and we’re already planning to bring more family and friends along for our next visit."
