"For a place called Rock N Roll I have to say I questioned it’s authenticity, but after eating here I have to say this is some legit Indian food.First thing first, when you go to an ethnic restaurant you look to see if anyone of that ethnicity is eating their, and I have to say a majority of the people their were Indian. So while I’m not Indian I trust the authenticity of this restaurant. The food was phenomenal, not a single thing we had was bad, the garlic naan was great, and the onion pakado was perfect for us. The naan wasn’t too greasy but had a perfect amount of grease and garlic flavor, and for those that don’t know onion pakado is essentially Indian onion rings but better and those were perfectly fried as well and came with 2 delicious sauces. The entrees were simply delicious though, my friend who is white ordered the tikka chicken spicy but to our surprise it wasn’t too spicy at all, we don’t know if this was because he was white or not but we could handle the spicy level rather easily. But the chicken was flavorful, juicy and delicious either way. The veg Hakka was filling and tasty and I got it spicy as well and could handle it rather easily myself. I’m definitely not challenging the restaurant to make food spicier but if I had one critique it’s that the spicy level didn’t feel that spicy (although still delicious and we may get the extra spicy next time). Lastly we had the pineapple soufflé and it was the bomb dot com. Everything was great and we will definitely be back. They even had 3 different beers from India to try which we sampled and were satisfied with as well (unanimously Arka was our favorite)Our server Fabi was great and explained to us the menu, was quick and timely with our order and was good overall. Overall this place was amazing and I will be back sometime."

"My girlfriend and I were excited to try this place and have it be the first neighborhood restaurant we ordered from since our move-in this past week. I am a little confused at all the overwhelmingly positive reviews, but I guess the takeout experience is just completely different from actually sitting in the restaurant. Needless to say, our experience significantly differed from what seems to be the norm. The food was, to say the very least, barely edible. We ordered a burger, sandwich, and two orders of fries. I ordered the burger to be Well Done , and this was appropriately reflected in the receipt, but upon biting into the burger, it was barely medium . Even a minute in the microwave wasn 't enough to fully cook the burger, so I 'm not sure how the chef messed up that bad. Additionally, the rest of the burger 's bread (served on sourdough) was completely soaked in grease and sauce to the point where it was impossible to actually pick up and eat as one normally does a burger. I had to eat the thing with a knife and fork. My girlfriend had a similar experience with her sandwich. There was so much sauce and grease and moisture in the sandwich that it had completely soaked the outside wrapper, and was additionally impossible to pickup and eat. She had to pick off the little turkey that was on there and then had to move onto last night 's leftovers because the soaked-through bread just wasn 't worth eating. All in all, we are extremely disappointed with the quality of the product that we purchased, and are so put-off by the takeout experience that we cannot bring it upon ourselves to, at some point, try the indoor dining experience that everyone seems to enjoy. Additionally (and obviously), we will not be ordering from this restaurant again."

"We've been up and down the 680 Tri-Valley corridor, and on this day made it up to Lafayette and came across Kabab Burger Mediterranean Grill. It is located in a small Trader Joe's strip mall and the parking lot is rather smaller, however, even during a busy Friday lunch hour, you will most likely be able to find parking after one or two circles. Upon entering the restaurant, you will find a small number of tables and chairs at the front and the front counter where food is ordered is located in the back. There is also a small number of table and chairs and their patio area that is outfitted with plenty of covered spaces. This fast casual restaurant offers rather fast service. The menu consist of your usual Mediterranean offerings of side dishes, pita sandwiches, and plates.0 Our party ordered a couple Gyro in a pita pocket, a chicken kabob plate, and a a la carte chicken kabob. Everything was excellent in quality and taste. The gyro was filled with plenty of delicious meat, lettuce, and diced cucumber and tomatoes. The chicken kabobs were pleasantly and unusually moist and flavorful, where the seasoning seaped all the way through the large chunks of meat. Oftentimes, chicken Mediterranean places are on the dryer side and the flavor resides just on the outside of the meat. I would say this is probably near the top of our list of favorite Mediterranean restaurants that we have visited, and we were pleasantly impressed with our terrific lunch experience. Looking forward for a return visit."
