"I’m on the edge about recommending this spot because of the service and portions. I’m happy they offer a vegan menu, but not all of the entrees are worth the price especially for this area of queens. Also, with this place being called “vegoist” we were hoping the kitchen would be entirely vegan. The vegan tacos are 3 for $15, so not too badly priced and they’re tasty. The wraps seem to be getting smaller and smaller every week you order it so in my opinion it’s no longer worth the price. The side salad is just mixed greens with pickles on top not even cut (extremely bland). The tortellini is NOT worth it. It was the most expensive dish of everything we ordered and it was 3 bites of food and not seasoned at all. There was only 1 waiter for the entire restaurant and this was not a small place. Everything took forever and when we asked questions the waiter was clearly overwhelmed and not kind. When ordering dessert, we ordered 2 different items and both were out of stock (she told us after waiting 15 minutes for it to arrive). We asked the waitress which ones were in stock and she couldn’t answer without asking chef so we waited a total of a half hour to even order dessert. Even after all this wait and confusion by the waitress she didn’t even comp the dessert or give a discount on our meal. Lastly, they have strobe lights going on constantly and it feels like you’re in a club eating bar food at the price of fine dining."

"Bolete is one of our favorite restaurants and we would really like for SSC+K to thrive as well. However, we were visiting nearly weekly spending $70+ each visit on lox and crab cakes to go so we were very surprised when suddenly charged $2.00 for a small portion of remoulade. The clerk was very curt when telling me that it was no longer included. It 's not the price that was the issue but her lack of customer service etiquette and her desire to make $2.00 rather than provide a positive customer experience. Most recently, we decided to sit down for a couple of lobster rolls, before purchasing the crab cakes to go. When paying $60.00 for two sandwiches(with tip), one would expect something quite amazing. The lobster 'salad ' was quite tasteless and the fries were very salty, hard and oily. The best thing about the meal was the pickled garnish. The rolls were very disappointing and we won 't order them again. It was also very awkward to be seated literally a few feet away from the cooks and they never once acknowledged our presence--no greeting, no thanks--nothing. The clerks also seem to lack any customer service training and just seemed to be completely uninterested in their work. They were both on their phones in between assisting customers--not a very sanitary practice. We are big fans of lobster rolls and visit a local restaurant every Sunday solely to have them. The price is 20% less and the roll is overflowing with large chunks of perfectly cooked and seasoned lobster and the fries are delicious. The staff at that restaurant is very engaging and professional--an altogether much more pleasurable experience."
