"We were surprised at how empty this place was on a Friday night. We literally had the only reservation. We noticed the other reviews all seemed to be very positive from reviewers coming from cities like Chicago and San Francisco where they actually know something about good restaurants, and negative from locals (which doesn’t surprise me since the reviews were not for an Olive Garden). We gave it a shot before a show and were shocked at how empty it was. It took a few minutes for us to be seated, but not horrible. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. It did seem a little odd how long it took to receive items after ordering, but we never felt ignored, the kitchen likely also services the rest of the hotel as well (we saw plates going to the bar area). And when the food arrived, it was worth the few extra minutes. I had the slow braised ribs and I could’ve eaten it with a plastic spoon. The meat fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. My SO had the ravioli, which were good, not quite filling enough. Overall this place deserves a higher rating, but the locals would apparently rather go to Cracker Barrel so they can eat faster."

"I've tried some of their green juice drinks and they were all good. The bagel itself is mediocre but you can't go wrong with added avocado and cream cheese. My favorite is the IC Brooklyn bagel. I like their ginger tea, very strong and fresh ginger flavor. I don't recommend the coffee tho if you're serious about coffee...I gave a higher rating because I'm personally attached to this place."

"This is one of my favorite food trucks ever because waffles plus gluten free, number one. But then their combos are absolutely off the charts delish, and all the servers have the best energy to top it off. I had a savory sandwich once, which wassomething like a Monte Cristo with goat cheese and arugula, and it was yummers, a perfectly crispy and tasty high end Sammy. Butprimarily what I go there for is a cross between the Coconana and Almond Joyous. This is banana, toasted almonds, chocolateganache and coconut whipped cream. Did I say, on a gulten-free waffle?!?!! Here are some visuals. They not only don't mindmeeting my special requests, but seem to rejoice in them. Oh so much ???? love for Smaaken. Finally they offer Blue Lotus Chaiwith your favorite milk and sweet or unsweet options. This truck sits in the Hawthorn Asylum, which is also my favorite foodtruck park, with a number of other excellent food trucks to make all groups happy and a great variety of seating options, manycovered and with gas heating to circle around."

"We were seated right away. We got menus and water right away. It was then 20 minutes, no exaggeration, before we had any other service. The waitstaff totally ignored us and we couldn't even catch their eye. Other tables were being well taken care of but we were not. Finally we were able to grab someone and they served us, but not before the hostess came over to refill our water and apologize profusely. Dessert was on the house, she said. Once we had someone taking care of us, it was as expected and the food was fabulous. It's the entire experience that matters, and the first half hour was far below the standards that Joe Muer's is known for."

"a really good breakfast place I switched on by a father who drives my bus. it has looked and loved. Don't calm down for less on the 16th street has a separate owner and I hate to say it, but on the haight street I have a better part and a much better customer-friendly experience. the atmosphere and the most beautiful waitress were total bonuses. I've been with corned jundash, omelettes and other really good things several times. the building and restaurant also have a really cool backstory. of what I understand, it was once a butcher shop and that is where she got the jazz name."

"This local restaurant chain has five locations, with this one being their main flagship. The menu offers a variety of vegan options. I tried the Tofu Lover (Vegan) Sushi Burrito, which was tasty, although the Nori wrap could have held it together better. The Tofu Poke Bowl was also enjoyable and generously portioned; I appreciated the mix of seaweed and vegetables. I opted for brown rice for both dishes. The flavors were enhanced with ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce. The food is prepared simply, low in oil and sodium. Prices are quite reasonable. "My husband and I came to Spork for brunch this past weekend with friends who were visiting. Between the four of us, we had two orders of Thai tea French toast, an order of pancakes, and an omelet. The food was all done perfectly, tasted terrific, and came out in relatively short order. The staff was very friendly as well. We will be returning for lunch or dinner soon."

"I made a reservation for 20 people for a special occasion, which was confirmed. A week before our event, someone called to verify the reservation due to the high number of guests. I provided my credit card as a guarantee. We arrived at 5:45 but waited until 6:30 and still, the restaurant never opened! We were left waiting outside, but thankfully our party wasn't ruined. There was no note on the door, no phone call, and we received no explanation or apology for the situation. It was incredibly frustrating. I left several messages and heard nothing back. If there was an emergency, someone should have reached out to me. If the restaurant was out of business, I would have expected a call, especially after providing my credit card information. It's truly disappointing and unprofessional. Shame on this establishment!"

"I found the portion sizes to be a bit on the small side, but that might just be because I tend to have a big appetite. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and informative. He guided us through the menu since there were some dishes we weren't familiar with and recommended the best options. I ordered ravioli-like dumplings filled with a delicious meat mixture in a fantastic sauce. I also tried a soup, which I usually don't order at restaurants, but our waiter insisted we give it a try—and he was absolutely right! The atmosphere also contributed to the experience, making us feel as though we were enjoying authentic Afghan cuisine. I loved it so much that now I always ask my waiters about their soups at every restaurant I visit!"

"I have to say, my experience at this restaurant was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it - go, go, go, and go again! The food was fantastic. The Upstream Scotty salmon with plantain and jasmine rice was cooked perfectly; I wanted more after finishing it. The oxtail dish was incredibly delicious, and the mac and cheese was mouth-watering. The ambiance of the restaurant was great, although it was a bit chilly when we visited during dinner time. I suggest ordering some sides to complement your meal. I ended up feeling very full and content afterwards. The location is walking distance from the Barclays Center, so you can easily do some sightseeing before or after dining here. The service was good, but the food alone is what will keep me coming back. Thank you to the staff for providing such a wonderful experience."

"This place is fantastic. Their sandwiches are my favorite, made with what I assume is freshly baked bread and rolls, featuring hearty, high-quality ingredients that are incredibly flavorful. They also offer excellent baked goods, including cookies and pastries. The carry-out craft beer selection is a nice touch as well. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food is unmatched anywhere else in town. Additionally, it's great to see that they sell products from local artists."
