"Better made in the morning by Cafe Madison This was our first visit to Cafe Madison and we plan to go back... many times. There were immediate sittings at the bar so that we put ourselves on the head and started our meal with hot and frosty cappuccinos that burned right in front of our eyes. The restaurant was filled with energy as the staff to ensure that the patrons tend well. Our servers at the bar helped us make suggestions and talk when time was allowed. We ordered Huevos Rancheros from the special menu and the hash breakfast. The staff said the Rancheros used to be a cornerstone on the menu, but they only bring it back for specials in these days; she highly recommended it to say that they usually sell out quickly. The chorizo was a tad spicy but still delicious. The hash shell was just as good as the Rancheros. As if pinned beef hash itself is decadent, they add a cheese sauce that puts it over the top. The only missing was that I paired it with onion/dill bread; You should definitely get rye bread with beef. The eggs were perfectly cooked on each plate and the side potatoes were well seasoned. The restaurant is clean and offers a comfortable and entertaining atmosphere. It seems to be a lot of street parking and they offer outdoor seating when the weather is allowed. If you haven't been, go! Make sure to register for their reward program for takeover and delivery orders. UPDATE: 4/10/22 We have served the chicken and waffle... crispy chicken teeth served on a roasted corn and jalapeno waffle. If you like flavors of the southwest, you will love this waffle. The taste of Jalapeno comes through with the slightest touch of heat. Embroidered with maple butter and a sweet hot-hot syrup. It is definitely worth trying! We have sides of oversized eggs that perfectly cooked and crispy bacon. Unfortunately, the menu still offers its winter selection of adult coffee drinks, but they do not make most. If the salted caramel coffee is still served, try it. It's like dessert and coffee wrapped in one."

"I’ve been going to red lentil for many years. It’s a staple veg restaurant in the Boston area. I don’t think you can miss on any of the menu items. Everything is delicious! A couple of favorites include Gobi Manchurian and nachos (request vegan). Also love their brunch! Most things are either vegan or can be prepared vegan if requested. Reservations available for parties of 6 or more. The AC can be cold, so I recommend you wear layers. As expected, lunch prices are a bit more affordable than dinner but both are reasonable. "I have tried the vegan French toast and the vegan soyrizo burrito so far. Unfortunately, the French toast was lacking in flavor and was quite disappointing overall. On the other hand, the soyrizo burrito was good, and I would definitely order it again. It was so large that I could only finish half, which gave me breakfast for the next day. Overall, it's a cozy breakfast spot that I will certainly return to."

"I took my family to Fino's to celebrate my son's 17th birthday. And it was an amazing experience. The owner set tables up outside in the garden area because we were a large group. He was very nice and friendly!! The food was brought out and I'm all about presentation!! Everything looked delicious! The food was good. We are vegan, and they had a nice selection of vegan options on the menu. The Vegan Buffalo Chicken Stromboli was a huge hit!! Very Good!!! We will be returning!! "I was so excited and then soooooooo disappointed. The quality and receipts have changed. There are different ways of making vegan french toast. There method has changed due to vendor issues and new staff. The chicken was cooked perfectly and tasted alright (I wished the seasoning was spread evenly along the tenders before they were fried). Thankfully the strawberries were in good shape the house spuds were pretty good. The syrup was a little bitter. The french toast had too many seeds and the texture was completely off. The manager said that I should've sent the plate back then said, we will make sure to do better next time. The waitress did inform of the changes with the vendor but when I told her I didn't like it. She shrugged her shoulders and had nothing to say. I had to make the effort to call the manager and have my total adjusted as the lack of resolution was definitely far from the excellence they performed pre Covid. The pandemic has provided consistently to affect everyone. I hope that it is better if I ever decide to go back. Till then I will be making my own famous vegan french toast. Now I'm wondering if the beignets are still good. I'm really really disappointed. Ask about ingredients or favorites before you order. Good luck!"

"I recently visited during lunch/brunch on a Sunday. There wasn’t a hostess and they appeared to be short staffed. Someone finally came to help me and a few other guests who were waiting. The location is a bit on the small side so there was a wait. After about 15 minutes, there were a couple of seats that became available at the bar so we sat there. The food was definitely worth the wait! We started with the fried green tomatoes. Some weren’t that cooked but overall, I liked them. I ordered the lollipop lamb chops and they were sooo tender and delicious! I substituted the potatoes with their mac n cheese which was good as well. My friend had the chicken breast and it was good as well but not as good as my lamb chops! There was a dj playing. I think it was a little loud because sometimes we had to lean in to hear each other. I will definitely visit again!"

"As for the Cali melt, it was more of a sandwich than a melt, as the cheese was cold. While it had decent flavor, it wasn’t particularly remarkable. The fries served alongside it were pretty good, however. The chicken fajita burrito was quite bland and lacked any seasoning. The pancakes were particularly disappointing—they looked appealing but were doughy and crumbly. We ordered three plates of pancakes, and all had the same undesirable texture. We ended up sending them back, and given our experience with the other dishes, we didn’t feel like ordering anything else. Although the food left much to be desired, the service was satisfactory, and our waitress was friendly. Unfortunately, that alone isn't enough to make me want to return to this restaurant."

"During my visit from Omaha, I happened upon this incredible restaurant. The ambiance is fantastic, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. Our server, Mary, suggested we try the Buffalo Veggie nuggets as an appetizer, and they were simply delicious. For my main course, I had the Madison Philly (vegan) accompanied by mashed potatoes and gravy. Don’t miss out on adding the vegan chipotle remoulade—it’s a must! For dessert, we indulged in a Chocolate Lava cake paired with a scoop of vegan vanilla bean ice cream, which was incredibly rich and satisfying. The Green Owl stands out as one of the best vegetarian and vegan restaurants I’ve ever visited! I plan to make this a regular stop on my trips to Madison. Absolutely a 10/10!"

"Showed up on Sunday morning to have brunch with my band on our way back home. There was a 20m wait which is roughly how long it took to find parking (just kidding it took like ten minutes parking is limited). I ordered a vanilla hemp latte with cayenne pepper. When it arrived there was a hair on the top. Everybody was cool about it and they made me a new latte quickly. For breakfast we ordered 2 Happy Morning Sandwiches and 2 breakfast enchiladas specials. The folks who ordered the enchiladas were disappointed that it was just 1 enchilada. The Happy Morning Sandwich was dry and needed salt but the smoky hot sauce on the table plus an extra side a mushroom gravy fixed it right up. The service was great (although the server who refilled our water and coffees spilled on the table and our phones with every refill)."
