"The food is simple in presentation yet impressively complex with every bite. The pork croquette had a texture reminiscent of 肉鬆 and was flavored with Korean spicy chili paste, perfectly balanced with creamy avocado. However, the masa dip was quite sweet and had an off-putting taste, almost reminiscent of bile; fortunately, the chips served alongside it were exceptional.
The entrees were flawless, especially the vegetarian options; I would even say the vegetarian dishes outshined everything else. The desserts were astonishingly good, which is a rarity in modern restaurants where dessert often feels like an afterthought. HFWM has outperformed some of the best patisseries and creameries around.
Though the service was rather slow—taking more than 20 minutes just for our drinks, and almost 30 minutes between courses—the experience was certainly worth the wait. The pricing was shockingly affordable, which only added to the overall satisfaction. I’ll definitely be returning, and I can’t recommend this place enough—10/10!"
