"Mr. Julevic, I had the most disappointing dining experience of my summer in NYC. The quality of the food and service did not match the value by any means. The Philippe Passion cocktail tasted watered-down and contained too much ice from only two sips. Mr. Denis exchanged this drink for the Philipptini, which also contained more than a respectable amount of ice and tasted just average. The Glazed Spare Ribs were chewy, warm not hot, and frankly could have benefited from more time cooking to obtain optimal tenderness. The Scallion Pancakes were just average. The plain Vegetable Fried Rice should not be called a vegetable friend rice having only onions and scallions for vegetables. My local restaurant makes a far better dish with a variety of vegetables for three-quarters less of the price I paid. While I received the Crispy Beef (this too was just average tasting and too much cornstarch was used to make the sauce that seized up becoming tacky like a candy/caramel) along with the Vegetable Fried Rice at the same time, I waited almost fifteen minutes for the Bok Choy to arrive. At this point of my birthday dinner to myself (I celebrated a birthday on at your restaurant, I thought the experience could not have gotten worse until the check arrived with gratuity already included. This was insulting and offensive since Mr. Denis was inattentive and unavailable at key moments during my dining experience. I had to ask a runner to see about the Bok Choy and bring me a hot towel and to-go containers since I was not going to waste this overpriced meal I could no longer eat (my dog ate the leftovers). It bears repeating that the meal cost was not commensurate with the quality of the food and service. I spoke with your Assistant Manager, Christy Huang about this bad meal and she seemed rushed and haggard. Ms. Huang was cordial and wanted to share the feedback I gave her with the kitchen but did little else by way of seeking to secure my future patronage"

"This review is based on our take out experience. We have dined here before and were craving some chicken satay. The food here is good and this being our first time getting take out from here we were very happy the quality remained. The time we waited for take out was average. I never get dessert but had a sweet tooth and ordered the peanut butter explosion! It was super good! The right amount of fudge and peanut butter. We also had honey glazed spare ribs, duck spring rolls, salt and pepper prawns, pork fried rice and kung pao chicken and crispy beef. Our only complaint is of the kung pao chicken. My husband didn't enjoy it. The flavors were a bit off. But overall pretty good food!"

"I've always been a fan of China Cafe! Their Mongolian beef is among the best in the Quad Cities, and their crab rangoons are absolutely delicious. Although their prices have increased recently, which limits how often I can dine there, this trend is common to many places after the pandemic. The portion sizes are generous and the food is fantastic, so it's definitely worth it. I highly recommend giving it a try!"

"Food was good. I got take delivery so, can't speak to atmosphere. Ordered food 2 days and both times the food arrived hot. The 2 delivery ladies Patricia and Kim were super nice and courteous. I ordered the small and it was more than enough for 1 person. Could possibly feed 2 people. Prices were average. I'd recommend this place for anyone that likes good food at decent prices. If I'm ever in the area again and have the time, I will order from them again for sure."

"The DJ really should take requests from the audience instead of insisting on only playing a specific genre after 10 PM. My 13-year-old nephew asked him to play a Lil Baby song, but the DJ responded that he only plays trap music after 10 PM—even though he was already playing his chosen trap tracks before that time. Additionally, the restrooms had a terrible odor. One of the women at the front desk appeared unfriendly when my kids and I walked in; she didn’t greet us or create a welcoming atmosphere. It would be nice if the front desk staff smiled at guests, as they are the first people visitors encounter. Overall, I felt a bit uncomfortable and as though I didn’t quite belong there."

"I had the best bday dinner at Sei Less! Food was amazing!!! We ordered the crab croquettes, Shanghai spare ribs, and Rock Shrimp Tempura for starters. Each one was delicious. For entrees, we had Shanghai Salmon, Short Ribs, Filet Mignon Broccoli, and Salt Pepper Beef and we paired it w the lobster fried rice. Drinks … Lychee Martini, Side Car, Passion Fruit Margarita, Summer Affair. Everything was a 10 across the board my party had zero complaints. Our waiter, Ivo was the best!!! I had read a few reviews that said this restaurant was overrated and I honestly can’t disagree more. Definitely recommend Sei Less, guys. Tell a friend to tell a friend!! Oh and the esthetics of this place?? "

"I have been dining at this restaurant for years and it is always our go-to spot! I particularly love their North Carolina BBQ and seafood. Their Brunswick stew, baked beans, roasted okra, and pretty much all of their desserts are absolutely delicious. During the week, you can tell it's a favorite spot among locals because it's always bustling. I highly recommend this place to tourists! On Saturdays, they have a special on fried flounder and shrimp that my partner and I shared - it was more than enough food for both of us. The flounder dish was especially amazing. The locals who frequent this restaurant are a testament to its consistently great food and service - they never disappoint. Keep up the good work, Stamey's Old Fashioned Restaurant!"

"We were greeted with a friendly smile and a great hello. We wanted a combo but were advised the brisket was sold out (Great news for business but sad for us) so we chose another option. I had asked for a sweet potato along with butter and brown sugar cinnamon. The portions were ok for us and the money spent. The service was quick. When we returned home I found there was no brown sugar cinnamon mix in our bag. The sauce tasted great but was not near enough making the meal very dry. The beans we ordered made a mess in the container but were tasty nonetheless. Compared to other BBQ Restaurants we visited, this location was right in the middle."
