"While I was ordering, a man came out of the kitchen wearing sandals and a grey muscle shirt, which was stained and sweaty as if he had just come from a workout. He started yelling at the woman who was taking my order. After I ordered, I glanced over at the countertop and saw food being prepared right there—specifically, crab rangoon—left uncovered. This wasn’t the kitchen, mind you; it was the front counter by the register!
When I finally got back to my hotel, I was excited to eat my food, but oh no! The spicy beef tasted just like the smell of the restaurant, and I can’t really explain it. The lo mein tasted bland and was super soggy, as if it hadn’t been cooked all the way. It was a really strange experience! I hate wasting food, but I just couldn't eat it. It was so disappointing because I was genuinely hungry and craving good Chinese food!"
