"Not sure what happened here. I've been often great service and fish. Now they have a terrribel waitress who doesn't speak any English, a waiter who doesn't know the menu. They didn't give me the salad with my bento box. Had to ask for soy sauce. Fish quality was good but the service put me off. Not sure I'll be back. Too bad this was a fave of mine. Still can't believe I paid and tipped on that terrible service. I even pointed out that bento boxes come with salad as shown in the menu and he still didn't bring me one!!! The waitress knows so little English she disunion the word soda."

"After reading all the great reviews decided to give this a place a try. Went there for dinner last night for my friend birthday. Called in advance to make a reservation for a party of 8. When we arrived we were taken to a private room which was nice. Waited a bit for our waitress to take our order. The food came quickly after we placed our order. We noticed a bunch of the stuff was given to us which we did not order and there where things we ordered which was completely missing. We ordered sashimi but instead they gave us that sushi version which came with rice. So I feel like they were trying to be sneaky and to fill us up. Then also notice even though it’s an ayce sushi they limit you to 50 pieces of sashimi and they sashimi was diced up into cubes and not slices of fish. So it’s like u in reality they dice the fishes into about 3-4 pieces as compared to regular pieces of sashimi so even if they say limit 50 pieces you getting like about 10-12 pieces for the price. When we were ready to order more we waited over 30 minutes before they even come back to take our next order. The quality of the fish was just ok. I guess for $28 a person you can’t really expect high quality sushi. If I’m around the area and craving for sushi I might return but I would not travel out of my way for it."

"BEST SUSHI/SASHIMI IN TOWN, and that includes the city of Annapolis. I am not sure why this place has a 4.4 rating, should be closer to 5.0! I would say that I’m a sushi/sashimi expert as I grew up eating raw fish/sushi/Japanese cuisine. I ordered a sashimi platter, along with basic salmon and spicy tuna roll just to test out Oishi’s legs. The sashimi was fresh, not overpriced, beautifully cut, portions large, and best of all, quality grade (chef included real bluefin tuna as well not the cheap stuff . I will be coming back to this place for my sashimi cravings. Rolls were not large, but not small (I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but I’ve had some basic rolls in this city that actually tasted like grocery store sushi. These basic rolls were good, and proportioned well. . They make homemade sauces as well, eg their spicy sauce (not your generic store bought “chili sauce” this sauce is really good, and not for the weak! I will definitely be coming back, as I hear they have special fish cuts sometimes plus, their fish is the most fresh I’ve had in this region! Oh, cherry on top is that the customer service is great attentive, quick, friendly! Thank you, Oishi! "the hotel is located in boston city in a busy part of the city with plenty of entertainment and places to hang out. beautiful seating with a bar. old school ambiente with red wood furniture thema. I order the crumb salate and regular papayasalat. I would definitely like it as the two best places, papaya salat in North America from all the cities I have eaten in Canada and the Usa. the fish larb I order was beautifully played with whole fish deep fried. fish was so good roasted that you could even eat all the fishhead like chips. all the bones cracked like chips. the dressing was in isarn style larb acid spicy spicy smoky with the roasted rice powder and salty at the same time. fish was fresh, not frozen. I think they used psychic. I also have fried tilapia filet with garlic. That was okay, I wish they used all the fish. the fish was not frozen. the staff is extremely polite. owner very friendly. we had Thai ice tea that had a nice strong tee taste. many restaurants make it too milky and brighter color. what I don't like. menu is very well made to meet the classic thai not available and with some unique decor like the thai larb. this restaurant surprised me. it is competing with some of the best restaurants in midtown nyc. it beats 90 percent of restaurants in the bay. I have to give him a 5. please keep them good work and keep them high standard and please keep it authentic."

"Two of us went for an early dinner on Saturday. The restaurant is inside a busy plaza in the corner. Walking in they have displayed pictures of their customers I'm assuming on their birthdays. We were seated promptly for a regular table and there was a few other tables there too. They have a small bar area and two sections of hibachi tables available. Our service was attentive and we ordered: 2 waters, hibachi chicken and steak combo, miso soup, sweet potato roll, California roll, and a pink lady roll. Water was refilled constantly which we loved and the soups were very hot. My fiancé really enjoyed his steak and chicken. He says the rice was okay, but could have been fried more. For the noodles, he says he would of asked for another portion because it was so small. He has a shellfish allergy and explained that to them and they listened. YAY! For me, the California roll was very good. Sadly, the sweet potato in the roll was not cooked and it was hard as can be. So, I did not eat that and asked for another California roll. The pink lady roll said it had real crab in it, so I got excited and ordered that. It was good, but I probably wouldn't order it again because of the sauce that was inside the roll. Atmosphere was nice, clean. The bathrooms were clean which is always important. I will come back again, just hope they cook the sweet potato next time."

"We hadn't had a great dining experience until we visited Umami! Everything was outstanding! Our server also served as the bartender, and in hindsight, we probably should have just eaten at the bar, but that’s alright. Since my husband and I don’t get out often, we decided to enjoy some sushi and have a few drinks. The hot sake was delicious! The sushi was fantastic, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place. I can't wait to try more next time!"

"The food was decent but overpriced. We ordered the Ramen and noticed there was no description on the menu, so we asked the server for details. When I sought clarification again because my husband has hearing loss, she snapped, "I already told you!" That was quite rude! Additionally, when my husband requested warm water, she said she could only provide hot water. It's strange because we've never encountered this issue in other restaurants. We asked for tap water, but she still couldn't accommodate that. Her attitude was off-putting, and it really affected our dining experience. We won't be returning."

"I ordered for the first time from this place as I was craving Chinese food. First I called and my first question was, do you take credit card . The lady that answered said yes. After giving my order she said cash only (head scratcher) she then hung up after I corrected her as she told me they take credit card. I proceeded to order online so I could pay with credit card. Food arrived in good time no problem there. I ordered lobster lo mein. I received lo mein with some mysterious meat which I though was shrimp but smelled weird, which cost, 3$ more because it’s suppose to be lobster. Not lobster, 100% see enclosed photo. The egg rolls , which generally are vegetable egg rolls had a mysterious meat like red substance/texture."

"We dined at this restaurant on a Friday night and upon arrival, we found that there were only a few customers. Initially, I wasn't very impressed with the setting, as it had a diner-like atmosphere. However, the staff was friendly and the place appeared to be clean. They don't serve alcohol, but you are allowed to bring your own. Since we were headed to a play nearby after dinner, I opted for a coke to liven up. For our appetizer, we decided on the mini chicken eggrolls, which were delicious along with the sweet and sour sauce that accompanied them. My husband ordered a sushi combo plate and I chose the pad thai, both of which were really tasty. Although I'm not a fan of raw fish, I tried his rolls and found them to be fresh. My pad thai was piping hot and flavorful, with just the right amount of sweetness in the sauce. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. As we were leaving, the place started to get more crowded."

"the most fantastic sushi restaurant in cincinnati. wing on a laune, after an anime con, in the congress center and was blown away. fish is consistently delicious (fresh), good value, regardless of that it is halfway or not (it is on Thursday), and the rolls are different then what on any other sushi place in cincinnatis menu. they also have everything they can eat sushi. I almost don't want to advertise, that's such a good deal. make sure to pay sometimes the full price, because it is a true shade. I can't get away from this restaurant."
