"I gave Fiesta Time Amigos Mexican Grill 5 stars back in August 2022 after living in the Louisville area for four years and finally trying it for the first time. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the variety of food options was impressive. I declared their Baja fish tacos the best I’ve ever had and was eager to return for more.
However, since my previous review, we have been regulars at the restaurant and enjoyed consistent quality, until today. The service was disappointing. There were four or five young staff members just standing around chatting and laughing. The host who seated us seemed more interested in finishing his story than asking how many were in our party. It took a long time for a waiter to bring us our drinks. While the food was good as always, we didn’t see our waiter after our initial order. My husband’s glass remained empty for some time, prompting me to push it to the edge of the table in hopes of getting attention. I looked for our waiter but didn’t see him. Instead, I watched the group of young guys at the front continuing their conversation without attending to any customers.
Eventually, one of them noticed my frustrated expression and asked if we were okay. My husband requested to-go boxes, a drink, and the bill. Those were brought to us quickly. However, when we paid at the front, the staff member who checked us out didn’t inquire about our meal or offer any acknowledgment, not even a simple thank you. It felt like the only person truly working in the dining area was the food runner."
