"I've been to this diner quite a few times, and it's probably my favorite restaurant in the city. This is always one of the spots I take friends and family when they're visiting town. Their burgers are exactly what you'd want from a diner, large and juicy. There is a bit of variability (they can be overdone from time to time), but they're usually spot on. Their cheesecake, though. I don't know where they get it, but it's absolutely phenomenal. I always try to get a slice when I'm in a group (just because the portions from the entree are very large, so more than enough to fill me). It's definitely the best cheesecake I've ever had, and that alone is normally worth the trip."

"The service at this restaurant was extremely slow and we were told that the kitchen was backed up. The quality of the food was so poor that it was barely edible. When we informed our server, we were only given a $13 credit. The crab cakes were cold with no sauce, and the blackened fish sandwich had no meat, just mixed greens in a roll, which was very confusing. The fries and onion rings came out 15 minutes before our main dishes, and were served without ketchup or ranch. The children's meals were cold and flavorless, and I was charged for apple juice but served Sprite instead. I was disappointed with the poor quality of the food and the lack of any effort from the server or manager to rectify the situation. I would advise avoiding this place at all costs. Additionally, I had made a reservation through Open Table but still had to wait in line for 10 minutes before being seated."

"I hadn't visited this location in over twelve years, but I used to be a big fan of Max's Opera Cafe in San Francisco. The wait staff was exceptional, contributing to a wonderful birthday dinner for my mother, complete with a complimentary birthday sundae. The Turkey Club sandwich was tasty, and the salad was good as well. However, the shrimp in the shrimp cocktail lacked flavor and appeared off-color, and the cocktail sauce tasted like it came from a jar. But hey, nothing's perfect! The live jazz on a Monday evening was fantastic, and the atmosphere in the bar/restaurant was lively and enjoyable. I plan to return for a simple sandwich dinner with another alcohol-free beer and to enjoy the jazz again."
