"The worst spot in existence. Literally they've been mediocre but this experience takes the **** cake. They are now at my bottom tier, trash. Will never come back nor recommend this location.I came in there SOLELY for their promo, which didn't work online so I went in store for help. No body could help me, they even showed me step by step how to and they watched as the promo wasn't applied, even though at the start it indicated it was attached. They are the least knowledgeable about anything subway related. They couldn't even honor the promo. I was standing in there from 6:10pm until 6:40pm cst.With no help, with no way of getting my lunch, a hungry stomach, and all I wanted was a single sandwich. That, I didn't even get because this experience was worse than anything. It ruined my day and I hope anyone reading this BE CAUTIOUS. They won't help you in the least, and seem to favor certain people. Guess I'm not special a customer enough."

"It's a Subway. The actual reason I'm leaving this review is that on the two occasions I've paid with cash here, the employees have not given me all my change. They gave me the bills but kept the coins. It's happened with two different cashiers, which leads me to believe they're being trained to do this or something. I work in the building and have been here a few times, and I usually pay with a card. But twice they've gotten me with the cash thing. I forgot to use a card today and was reminded that they steal money at this location. Lesson learned, fool me once, etc."

"I was the second person in line, and the person ahead of me ordered his sandwich toasted. By the time it was my turn about ten minutes later, the oven was still out of order—it must have broken right after the guy before me. I ended up waiting for 15 minutes before I decided to leave. No one bothered to explain what was wrong with the oven; I had to figure it out on my own. They also didn’t address the long wait at all. This was my first visit, and it will definitely be my last!"

"The owner is quite frugal and frequently discusses ways to cut costs, to the extent that they slice vegetables so thinly they’re nearly transparent! When it comes to making sandwiches, it feels like they’re shortchanging the ingredients and even keeping track of what goes in. Furthermore, the owner is rather stingy and has decided against offering military or student discounts, which is puzzling given their proximity to a college! This policy feels unpatriotic and somewhat un-American for a Subway. We should definitely speak up about this! Hey owners, it’s important to recognize that military and student discounts are a part of the American experience."

"I visited this establishment 2 weeks ago, the Ice machine was broken. I came back today 4/30/21 and its still broken along with No Cash acceptance, No provolone cheese, No mustard.. who knows what else they don't have.. Its scary to think maybe no soap to wash the food containers.. I wouldn't doubt it at this point, clearly this establishment is having cash flow and debt problems, owner is probably giving up. Is it for sale??"

"This Subway experience was quite disappointing. I used to own 3 very busy Subway shops in the area while I was in college, so I understand that things can get hectic, but the customer service at this particular location is the worst I have ever encountered. They aren't even as busy as other Subway locations, so there is no excuse for their behavior. Despite living nearby, I made the effort to drive to other locations to avoid the unpleasant workers here. I am writing this review in the hopes that the management will take notice and address the issues with their staff. I have had multiple bad experiences with both the day and night crews. They openly complain and gossip about customers in front of them, which is extremely unprofessional. I even had an employee roll their eyes at me for requesting my sandwich be heated before being toasted. As someone who has been a part of the company for 9 years, I know the proper procedures for making sandwiches, and it is clear that they are not being followed at this location. The staff also engage in inappropriate conversations while preparing food, which is off-putting. I have never been greeted with a smile here, and overall, I feel unwelcome every time I visit. Despite living just 3 minutes away, I will continue to drive further to get a better experience at a different Subway. I am not sure where the negativity stems from, but I do not want it in my life. Making a sandwich should not be this difficult."

"I recently stopped by this restaurant to pick up lunch and was impressed by the friendly and helpful older gentleman working there. Despite having a rough week, he made me laugh by jokingly putting a small amount of extra salad on my sandwich. We chatted as he made my sub, and I left with a smile on my face. The sub was delicious and fresh, and we both agreed that the tomatoes were particularly tasty that day. Thanks to the great customer service and tasty food, I will definitely be returning to this place more often."

"This rating is for the 3-person team working the closing shift tonight. They were kind enough to make my order dispite it being so close to closing time. Earlier tonight I went to the location by Jamaica Center train station and that man was incredibly rude and completely unhelpful, I had to leave before getting even angrier and causing a scene...he definitely could learn a thing (or FIVE! about communicating with customers from the A-team at this Merrick Blvd location. Thank you again for saving my night."
