"I recently dined at Tucanes with high hopes, as my husband is Costa Rican and we were eager to enjoy some authentic cuisine. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. To begin with, the food was clearly not fresh. The chicharrón was burnt and dark, indicating it had been overcooked. When I pointed this out to one of the managers, she immediately agreed upon inspection and offered us a replacement batch. However, the new serving was not much better. Additionally, our waitress was not very attentive, which only added to our frustration. Having not visited in a while, we were really looking forward to a good meal, but this experience fell far short of our expectations. We will definitely not be returning. It's unfortunate because we wanted to savor a taste of Costa Rica, but Tucanes did not meet that desire."
