"This visit was somewhat spontaneous, but I was delighted to reconnect with Charlie and share a salute and a heartfelt "Semper Paratus"—a reminder of our shared military service. Now, onto the review!
As a patron of Mary Celeste, I felt that the portions of the entrees could be a bit more generous. Given that this is a business, they might consider increasing the volume of food served. However, I truly appreciated the outstanding service from Bridget and Kelly, who attentively checked on my enjoyment of the food and drinks.
I ordered the triple-dipped chicken nuggets along with three selections of Merlot, and I must say, everything was absolutely delicious! When Bridget asked if I needed anything else, I simply said yes—chocolate cake, please! When it arrived, I learned it was flourless, topped with raspberries and a sauce. To me, it tasted like a brownie!
For those wondering, Joe's in Dartmouth has a slice of chocolate cake that's quite a challenge to finish in one sitting! The wine selection was excellent, and given that Mary Celeste is known as a whiskey bar, they offer a variety of other spirits as well.
I definitely plan to revisit this place in the future to try the sirloin and the banana bourbon dessert. I also loved the interior design; it really felt like being on a cruise ship!
Keeping it real,
David S."
