"NapaSport was the only restaurant in Napa where I could get a reservation for 7 in the afternoon on Christmas Eve. I came into it a little wary, because who thinks of a sports bar as an appropriate venue for a family Christmas meal? But I was very, VERY pleasantly surprised. Their menu is diverse, so those with dietary issues/concerns could find vegetarian/healthy options. The food was quite tasty, too. And the decor is much more bistro than traditional sports bar . Sure, there were TVs about that had various sporting events on. But they 're not obtrusive. You can easily sit somewhere and ignore the TV if that 's your preference. I didn 't feel like I was being shouted at by the TVs as well. They 're very fairly priced, for the wine country. Our cost for 7 people for lunch was around $160 before tip. Where else in Napa can you get that many people fed for that amount of money, and not have it be a chain? The service was impeccable as well. Even though we were their last reservation of the holiday, there was no feeling of being rushed out of there. They offered appetizers, drinks, entrees, and desserts. One member of our party was under the weather, and our server (one of the managers, so I understand) brought her a small dish of their homemade whipped cream to make her feel better. And no joke, when they brought dessert out, a literal rainbow appeared in the sky. It sounds hyperbolic, but it 's true and a fair comparison to how nice the experience was. Seriously, give this place a try. I 'm looking forward to going back for dinner to try their steaks. I hope they stick around, as they 're a nice addition to the Napa restaurant scene."

"While our waiter was great when he was around, he didn’t check on us often enough. By the time the food came, the noise from a nearby table made the atmosphere quite stressful, and we were all ready to leave. My wife thought her pizza was decent, my son finished part of his meal, while the other two kids only picked at theirs. My seafood pasta special was just okay—I probably should have gone for a pizza instead. There was a mix-up with my son’s burger; instead of ketchup, he received what tasted like Heinz or some sort of BBQ sauce. They also messed up my second beer order and took a long time to bring us the check. Initially, I told my son to just eat it, thinking it was ketchup (I know it can taste different everywhere), but when I tasted it, I realized he was right—it was a strange BBQ-tasting sauce, similar to that old Heinz 57. At least my other child got ketchup with her meal, so we managed to make it work. Despite the issues, I tipped 20% since the waiter was friendly and good with the kids, but we decided we wouldn’t be coming back. With so many other restaurant options available, the value just isn't there, and the service left much to be desired. It seems like pizzas and appetizers would be the safest choices here; otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it. While I understand kids can be noisy, there was also a loud group of 4 or 5 women in their 40s to 70s who were just disruptive. It was so bad that I felt sorry for the other waiter who had to deal with them. If my kids are mentioning how loud it is, it’s definitely an issue. The restaurant wasn't full, and they easily could have seated us in a quieter area away from the noise. If the staff had been more attentive, I would have asked to be moved."
