"I ate here with my family before we went to a musical next door at the Pantages. I’ve been here several times and they never disappoint. We started with baked crab hand rolls, spicy tuna on crispy rice, and crispy brussels sprouts. I thoroughly enjoyed everyone. My daughters loved the hand rolls and crispy Brussels sprouts, but weren’t fans of the spicy tuna on the crispy rice. The crispy rice is highly dependent on the jalapeño to balance the flavor, so if you don’t like spicy food, it might not be for you. I highly recommend all of them. I just wish the hand rolls were a bit larger. My daughters had the miso soup and enjoyed it. Afterwards, we had the corn crunch rolls, Katsuya roll, and shrimp tempura roll. I’m not a fan of the Katsuya roll, but it’s okay. The other rolls were very good. The aioli sauce on the corn crunch is delicious. They are very good at making sure to get your food out quickly if they know you need to make a show time."

"Reserved a table for a large party. We waited for 45 minutes to be seated, despite having a confirmed reservation well in advance. We were served appetizers fairly promptly, but main courses took an additional hour to prepare. The chef himself came out to apologize to our table, as most of the hot food we had ordered arrived cold. While the food and presentation was superb, the service was severely lacking, especially at this price point."

"I really wish I could give them five stars, but our overall experience was less fun. my cousin called the restaurant on the day before the reservation of the tatami room and the restaurant had confirmed the reservation. we came a few minutes later than our reservation, but the street parking was terrible on a Saturday night. we told the host, we had a reservation for the tatami room and she told us to wait outside. they then sat out a few minutes later and we were so confused since we called the day before we confirmed the reservation for the room. the server said we were not listed for the tatami room and someone else occupy it. we didn't want to go so we took the outside seats. eating was incredibly delicious and literally the reason why the restaurant deserves stars. between the waitress and our commands they gave us the wrong order, but it was corrected and everything was good at the end. we would get back for eating, but we hope that communication could improve our experience better."

"great place to have lunch or dinner here. first things first, the service was great, from the hostess to the waiter. we were well received despite the fact that we were late for 30 minutes, for which many thanks. The food, we ordered the menu from the Miami Spice Menu, the food was really tasty and fresh, but nothing special, there was no dish that you would say wow (this is what you expect from a restaurant with a Michelin star). There is no special atmosphere in the establishment, the tables are very close to each other, so the feeling that the restaurant is a bit crowded. I recommend visiting especially if you live somewhere nearby"

"My wife and I came here for our 17th wedding anniversary. The ambiance, service and food was great and delicious. The only negative for us was that I was hoping to have something intimate, but not only was the seating extremely close to the adjacent tables, the noise level seemed pretty high because it was almost difficult to have a conversation. Overall this is a great place to chill with friends or for a business meeting during the day and pleasant get together with people in the evening."

"Been here multiple times over the years still some of the best sushi in SOBE. However the menu for non sushi eaters in substantially limited vs the past. Some of our favorite meals have been reduced to appetizers. Some of our favorite apps no longer offered. And the garden salad was n/a like there's no where to buy lettuce in SOBE? So we will think twice about coming back anytime soon perhaps when they go back to their pre-Covid menu. Oh, and they used FAKE crab do not remember that from previously in fact they used to brag about fresh ifish using real crab."

"Whenever I visit Los Angeles, I always make sure to stop by Katsuya for sushi! You must try the spicy tuna crispy rice to start; it's the best I've ever had! My personal favorite is the corn crunch, but the rock shrimp truly took my breath away. If you’re looking for a light and refreshing drink, the watermelon mojito is the ideal cocktail. I highly recommend this place—10/10! And don’t forget to order the lychee martini!"

"I had eaten at Catch in the past and was excited to return, but our experience wasn't as pleasurable. Our server was apparently not sober, as he asked us 4 times if we had a food allergy. He spilt 2 glasses of drinks on our table and into our laps. He grabbed a handful of beverage napkins to clean it up, which clearly did not touch the spillage, and he laughed. The manager came over, apologized, quickly cleaned up the mess, and replenished our drinks. After we ordered our appetizers and entrees our server didn't check on us. We had to call the manager over to order another round for the table. Our waiter returned to our table to pick up our appetizer plates and asked us again what we had previously ordered. He then went to the computer to put in our order. The manager again returned and brought us a sushi roll and apologized for the delay. The food was delicious and the manager was quite friendly. He did send over a complementary sushi roll and dessert, however, these were not things we asked to order. Had he just comped a round of drinks and replaced our waiter we would have been completely satisfied. This particular server was clearly struggling in his section as other customers were not getting their meals nor drinks. The manager was cleaning up his mistakes left and right. Hopefully the service will be more desirable next time."

"We had a fantastic evening celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday, just as we had hoped. Our intimate group of four felt like part of a larger celebration thanks to the lively atmosphere around us. The food was, as always, exceptional, showcasing the high standards of all the blue ribbon restaurants. I'm always amazed at how they maintain such consistency across so many locations. "the device and eating was good, but a lot of the product lacked from the menu, some sake were not on camp, and there was a lot of smoke in the restaurant and our eyes were red and itchy because it was so the evening meal was kind of unpleasant because we did not enjoy so much! the restaurant was pleasant the decoration was one of friendly and beautiful."

"This review specifically applies to their management and their absolute lack of customer service. My fiance threw a surpise engagment party post proposal here. When making the reservation he asked if he was allowed to bring outside liquor for a cork fee. They stated yes, it will be $60 dollars per bottle to which my fiance agreed. The day before the reservation, my fiance called and asked if the bottles can be dropped off before the reservation and chilled. They said no problem. Our friends stopped by 2 hours before the reservation, dropped off the bottles which they took with no issue and we thought we were all set. Once we arrived and checked in for our reservation, we were told the cork fee will be $600 per bottle !?!? . My fiance explained what was told to him and asked them to look up who took his reservation so they can get to the bottom of it. They said whoever told you that made a mistake. We asked to speak to the manager. The manager immediately came out with an attitude, handed back the bottles and said we won't honor $60 or $600 and we do not allow any outside bottles. She was incredibly rude and extremely off putting, would not even care to let us speak or even bother to take note of who made the arrangments with my fiance. If one your employees made a mistake, as an establishment, you should honor it. It makes no why they would even take the bottles to begin with if they don't allow outside bottles."
