"Amazing salsa !! Great service and a fun environment !!! But they need better cooks with more than one style of cooking who know how NOT to overcook all the meat they offer. ALL dishes taste very similar! All with burnt burn marks on "whatever" meat, mixed with similar spices and all well done to finish cooking. The burned cremation, like a fajitas, but for every dish? This is the second time that I had to come here with the same results ... I refuse the next time I am invited ... Maybe have a drink because the mood is good and fun ... she just need better cooks ..."

"We had dinner here on our last night in Dubai. I made a reservation for 8:30pm. There was a football game on so it was very busy with people watching that mostly in the bar area a few were sat in the restaurant section. We waited 25 mins from being seated to someone taking our drink orders. I was ready to leave as it was getting so annoyed, however the server did appear to be on his own and very busy, other staff were just standing at the kitchen area. The food (fillet steak) was amazing and cooked to perfection so can’t fault that at all. Our drinks were also good. The decor inside is well done too."

"The food is delicious and has creative flair grilled peaches and burrata, beets with goat cheese , gnocchi, and pancetta wrapped scallops. All excellent. Desert did not disappoint either croissant crisps and chocolate cake with coconut ice cream, both exceptionally fresh and flavorful. And the cocktails are special too Misunderstood ginger whiskey with matcha tea...yes please! Service was attentive. Just had to wait a little long for a couple of requests, like a glass of ice and a taste of wine that we wanted to purchase a bottle of. So that our appetizers arrived before our wine. But they held back dinner a bit to accommodate us. The views of NYC are spectacular, but the dock is closed for maintenance which should be shared with the customer at reservation time since this is definitely part of the reason you come to Battello."

"My new guy and I went here after I searched a lower Manhattan spot for him to get to as soon as possible and away from Tuesday traffic. The decor is pure Italian and gives you all the feels, it puts your mind in that space also. My date and I had a full feast and were pleasantly surprised at such great customer service and cleanliness. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully placed! See photos attached."

"This restaurant was incredible! It was my first visit, but it certainly won't be my last. I sat at the bar, where Dante, the owner and his son, took care of me. He was very warm and welcoming. The service was outstanding as well. I highly recommend checking out this wonderful establishment; it truly embodies the best of old-school Italian hospitality. And the food? Absolutely amazing! The tomato basil soup was the best I've ever had. The desserts, all made by Dante's mother, were to die for!"

"I LOVED this place!!! Omg the food was exquisite and service was A1. We felt so special going on our “anniversary “ dinner, the icing on the cake was the custom printed menus they made for us specifically for our special night. Just above and beyond. Another level I’ve never seen from a restaurant, truly. The food was awesome we got the four course meal each so we got to try 8 different dishes total, and WOW. The highlight was the espresso ice cream dessert. My eyes have been opened to a whole new world I have dreams about this dessert now. I can go on and on, but it was absolutely difficult to make decisions on the menu because it all looks so good. Rest assured, we were not disappointed in our decisions. We were genuinely going back and forth between the four course meal, or the chef special 7 course meal, (probably should’ve just gone for it but it was awesome, a fun experience, kind people, and really really good food."

"The ambiance was pleasant and the noise level was tolerable, but the food was disappointing. The service, on the other hand, was excellent with friendly waitstaff and reception. However, the sweetness of the sauces in our Mexican dishes was unusual and unappetizing. Even the salsa for the fries resembled spaghetti. It's baffling how they could go wrong with something as simple as salsa. The worst part was the enchilada sauce, which was overly sweet and had a strange cinnamon flavor that didn't complement the dish. Despite being in California, the taste just didn't hit the mark. Apologies for the strong criticism."

"great! we had the best dinner here yesterday. fluffy salted focaccia, plump mussels with incredible pistou battalion with sorrel and carrot tops, economical with speck and a perfectly boiled egg, and delicious al dente casarecce pasta with porgu pork and pizza from the wood stove with a droplet of olive oil. everything was perfectly cooked, the ingredients are so fresh and treated with love by the chefs. chef joseph even made us a personal skill of melted olive oil cake that came out perfectly around the edges and dense inside! they had run out the day, but threw one in many especially for us! They can say how passionate and talented the team is. would definitely recommend for a date or a large group as there are a few larger tabs in the back. do not miss this, as they could only be around until march, although I hope they will stay much longer! a real gem in north beach."
