"Took hubby for his birthday. It was good. The staff are wonderful. The food was good. Had chili lime shrimp, which was very good, and the skirt steak with chimichurri. Hubby had the cowboy ribeye, which did not live up to the name. Also tried the special Old Fashion, which was different, but still quite tasty. Hubby was provided with homemade churro, whipped cream, strawberries and chocolate sauce as his birthday treat from the restaurant. It was a large portion and delicious. It was a very nice treat without the awkwardness of staff singing. The patio was a little lacking in ambience. There needed to be some kind of music. It's Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo, so you expect music. Tupua Polynesian dance troupe did performed, but it was very short about 15 minutes. Since we were there over 2 hours, it would have been nice to have some sort of other entertainment or a second performance. We went at sunset, which is always gorgeous in Huntington Beach, however, from this section of the hotel, you can't actually see the sun set because the original hotel tower blocks the view. That said, you still have a view of the ocean in the distance. That's the pros and cons, but overall, it was a nice evening."
