In addition, I had to walk in and order our drinks at the bar because she never brought them. She was busy chatting with a group of friends out on the sidewalk"

"I was a regular of California Rollin the original in Village Gate. I keep trying this location and I'm always disappointed. After waiting 20 minutes I went and asked the hostess if we could get a server. Finally a server came over and apologized for the wait and said they're totally disorganized there. ???? It seems like the focus of this restaurant is to be a bar and not a sushi restaurant. Over an hour in total before our food arrived from the time we got there, and I had 2 small kids with me. So it was disappointing. The food was also shocking.. the Volcano roll was bland, the kids avocado rolls were messy, the sweet-and-sour chicken was okay... We were served water in plastic to go cups and given plastic soy saw dishes.. and small drink boxes for the kids. I don't know if they just don't care about being environmentally conscious or are too lazy to wash cups, but getting water in a to go cup INDOORS was very strange and very wasteful. There also was a hair in my food. I'm not sure anything else could have possibly gone wrong. Waiter Blake was nice and comped the roll with hair in it. But the food and wait was too much. Once again seriously disappointed and will never return."

"I love Thai Winchester! My husband and I visit Thai Winchester nearly every week. 1. The restaurant is clean and cozy, and the servers are kind and helpful. 2. If you go for lunch on a week day, you get a fried veggie crispy roll and a small side salad. I don't think the dressing on the salad is vegan (it looks cream-based), though, but I'm not sure. (I've been there for lunch on a week day only once 3. As far as appetizers go, I've had the fried tofu (it's nothing special it's exactly what it says: fried tofu), summer rolls (good if you love basil and my go-to appetizer, veggie crispy rolls. The rolls are the small, super crispy kind. I love them! 4. I've had most of the vegetarian entrees: LOVE: -cashew nuts LIKE: -kra pow -stir-fried ginger -red curry -green curry -panang curry -pad thai (good, but only if you like a very sweet pad thai) -thai fried rice (I've had this twice. It was amazingly flavorful the first time, but bland the second time) DISLIKE: -pad phed pha (this is a dish with peppercorns, and the peppercorns really take over. Order only if you LOVE peppercorns, because that's all you'll be able to taste) -massaman curry (but that could just be because I'm not into yellow curry I've never had this dish anywhere else This is my favorite restaurant in Winchester, and if you haven't already, I encourage you to visit! NOTE: We've also visited Thai Winchester II (only once), and we did not enjoy it enough to return. The restaurant is smaller and the food wasn't as good. I'd rather make the short drive to the walking mall rather than visit Thai Win II again. It may have just been a bad day for them, though."

"We stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a new favorite Thai place, and this charming little spot exceeded our expectations! We've decided to make it our go-to restaurant. To start, the service was outstanding. More importantly, the food was flavorful and satisfying, with just the right level of spice that kept us wanting more. Each bite of the green curry took me straight to Bangkok, and the pad Thai sauce was bursting with flavor. The owner is also the chef, and it’s evident in the attention she pays to every dish. I only wish we had discovered this gem sooner!"

"Horrible place I have ever been. They have no manners at all. We did a reservation for lunch and reached there on time. We waited there minutes and no one showed us to take the order. We went and remind them that no one came to get our order. We did not even get a glass of water. People who came after us they were served food when we are still waiting to get our drinks. Kids were asking why they did not bring our food. This is the worst place I have even seen. We were only family with kids and they do not even care. We got our food after hour minutes and dishes were horrible. Kids did not even touch the food. We went a near by ice cream and pie shop to feed them. I will never go there again"

"We have absolutely loved this place for the 3 years we’ve lived in Louisville! How disappointing that when we came by for our to go order things went south so easily. We arrived 45 minutes prior to the dining room closing. The very pleasant hostess invited us to have a drink while we waited (as we’ve done so many times). We sat for 5 minutes without seeing anyone at the bar, which was fine, as we’ve all had long days. Dude at the bar punctuated the experience! The bar prep was all covered up so we ordered two bottled beers to keep it simple. When we asked how his day was going, he said he was ready to get outta there. A couple walked in, saw us sitting at the bar, saw another gentleman eating dinner at the bar, and asked if the bar was still open. The hostess asked the bartender and he indignantly answered that it was closed. The pleasant couple left with no protest, and then the bartender asked the hostess in our presence why she would ask if the bar was open in front of the couple. Since he chose to make us part of his conversation, I couldn’t help but say “because the website says you are for another 45 minutes?” and my wife said to stay out of it. This place arguably has the best Pad Thai I’ve had in my life, but I’d fire his tail if he worked for me. We’ll give it another shot only because of our experiences to date, but if it happens again count us out. Disappointed yet Hopeful"

"excellent quality environment and a great dining experience. if they like Thai food, they will love this place. all traditional favorites accompanied by excellent service and pricing. this place is popular and word is for locals who like to eat healthy. a tonne vegetarian and vegan options and some of the best pad thai, green curry, sweat and sour veggies dishes we have in a long time. make sure to finish them with the mango and sticky rice. it was so good that we ate it before I could get photos!"
