"A shout out to The Water's Edge at Memorytown, Mt Pocono, PA. My husband and I went to this restaurant on New Years Eve. We originally had a reservation for 7:30. We figured we would go early and have a drink at the bar. It was really early, and the restaurant even had settings at the bar. So the manager was nice enough to give us a table earlier. What a place, years ago a fabulous bar/restaurant, rustic with fire department patches from all over that were on the walls...and now a beautiful restaurant, the patches are gone and now white table clothes and lighting were added to make this a more formal style restaurant. The food was outstanding, we started with their Ceasar salad, with the most delicious anchovy dressing, jumbo croutons, and anchovies on top...delicious. my husband had center cut NY strip steak, cooked to perfection, on top of smashed potatoes, demi glaze, and asparagus. I had the Shrimp Risotto (6), with butternut squash and pancetta. If anyone is ever in Mount Pocono, visit Memorytown and The Water's Edge... you will not be disappointed."
