"First time eating at Krebs we order the Valentine’s Day menu, the beef carpaccio was very good, the Petite Tenderloin was tough and under seasoned, the Raspberry tart filling was delicious but the tart itself was rock hard couldn’t be broken apart with the fork provided, our Waiter seemed very rushed and it was a burden we were there, the other serving help was very nice and would hold quick conversation, the homemade bread was very good, they also have a nice selection on nonalcoholic drinks"

Dessert was so good that even though I was full I ate it all. And now that I am writing this I want more. I usually don't give 5 stars lightly as you all know, and if I could complain about one thing would of been the crowded entry way... but once you got in and to your area it was private and soothing with wonderful soft music in the background. "Last week, my cousin called Rib-N-Reef and discovered they were open during a holiday period when many other restaurants were closed. We were lucky to get a table without a reservation. The restaurant was fully staffed and we were warmly greeted by valet, hostess, coat checker, and waiter. The waiter was polite and gave great recommendations since it was my first visit. The pre-appetizer items (pickle, coleslaw, bread and butter) were beautifully presented and delicious. The sides of mushrooms and mashed potatoes were excellent, and the steak was perfectly cooked with a nice sear. The garlic added a great flavor. The decor made me feel like I was in a scene from The Godfather. The sparkling water was surprisingly good. Unfortunately, I forgot to order dessert due to being tired. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I will definitely be back when I visit Montreal again, this time with my family and making sure to save room for dessert."

"I went to this restaurant on 12/23/23. The food and service were excellent. My only complaint is regarding the dessert we ordered. Our waiter, Charles, mentioned they had cheesecake and tableside banana foster for the cheesecake. When I ordered it, it was clear they did not understand what tableside meant. He simply brought my cheesecake and a bowl of banana foster and poured it on top. I was very disappointed with this. We also tried the bread pudding, which was a bit dry and could have used some sauce or other topping. However, if you skip dessert, the rest of the meal is fantastic. "This was one the last places on my list of Manhattan steakhouses to try and it did not disappoint. I loved the ambiance. Some might say it’s dated by I appreciate the classic style and decor. If you’re bringing the kids don’t sit in a booth unless you’re cool with all of the pin up era nudity, which I am. My friend and I ordered the porterhouse for 2, goose fat potatoes, drunken mushrooms, black truffle creamed spinach. I’m generally not a fan of peppercorn crust but they only do 1 side so I figured it wouldn’t be too overwhelming and went with the flow. It was perfect. Everything was perfect. The goose fat potatoes were the crispiest I have ever had. Overall I wouldn’t say that the appetizer or dessert selections were too enticing. I would have liked bacon but the way it was prepared seemed very excessive so I skipped it. It seemed more like bacon for people who don’t want to taste the bacon. The bananas foster baked Alaska was interesting. My friend was blown away by it so I guess we will just agree to disagree. It wasn’t bad I just didn’t personally love it. I will definitely be revisiting."

"We are dinner here on Saturday night. The food was good. I can't say that it was great. There were some slight inconsistencies from one dish to another. For instance, my wife's risotto wasn't seasoned well and tasted bland. This could have been due to the size of our party (about 16 people total)and food being prepared quickly. However, the service was great and they have a very expansive drink menu featuring several hard to find whisky's and bourbons. I would definitely come back with my wife as the service and atmosphere was great to see if this was just an off night for the food."

"My boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner. We enjoyed the atmosphere immediately with the live music playing outside. We ordered several drinks from the bar and they were delicious!! So, I decided to reserve a table for dinner at a steakhouse nearby the La Cantera shopping mall, where the very highly rated J-Prime Steakhouse became my choice. Firstly, I was impressed that they offered complimentary valet parking. At the dining , I ordered the premium choice from the menu, the 45 days aged American Wagyu ribeye. Also coupled with the sides, the truffle french fries and cream cheese spinach. Full satisfactory level from the main to the sides and even the homemade butter. The medium made steak is consistent across the whole meat."

"The food was amazing. We started with delicious crab cakes and then moved to the salmon sushi and salad. But all was not well! They forgot to bring bread to the table out of the gate. Then they brought us in a wrong dish. It would have been no big dealexcept our waiter would literally disappear for 10 minute increments. I had to get up from the table and point out to thewaiter that we had also ordered blackened shrimp and grits, which were probably delicious when they were cooked but now theywere 15 minutes cold and a little more chewy than they should have been. Three times we had to ask other staff to fill ourdrinks. While they graciously took off the dinner we did not order, it seemed like the staff was a little discombobulated. "I recently ate dinner on a slow Monday evening with about a dozen customers in the bar area. A nice barkeep greeted me a minute or so after I sat and attended to me cordially throughout the evening. Based on my good experience from earlier in the year, Ibasically repeated my order from then with a change or two: Blood orange spritz to start with a house salad, a crab cake entreewith mash and asparagus, ten ounce sirloin medium rare with baked potato and Brussel sprouts, and chocolate mousse cake tofinish. My drink came promptly and tasted good overall even if I would like a little more blood orange flavor. The house saladlooked and tasted fresh with crispy croutons. A little less dressing at the bottom would give this salad a better mix ofdressing to vegetables. Fresh cracked pepper instead of the small shakers would be better as well. Crab cakes had a pleasingbroiled texture, satisfying crab to binder ratio, a thermally warm temperature, and a light taste. I wonder if a little morelump crab instead of mostly backfin might elevate these cakes a touch more. Asparagus had good grill flavor and texture. Mashedpotatoes tasted like they had a little too much salt and/or dairy in them but were still quite palatable. Steak temperature wasmedium rare by touch and between medium rare to medium by sight and had good grill flavor. I was glad to see this baked potatocome with a decent salt crust on the skin and appropriate accoutrements, most of which I used. Overall the texture was pleasingeven if the potato could have been hotter on arrival. The Brussel sprouts were portioned and cooked well. I could have done witha little less salt to bring more flavor since this side included prosciutto and mustard. The chocolate mousse cake had a smoothmousse with plenty of chocolate flavor and a more moist cake than last time. The raspberry ice cream served as a welcomecomplement. "We arrived just after Sunday brunch on Father’s Day 2024. Surprisingly, it wasn’t crazy busy at 2:30p and we were seated right away. We share the crab dip, chopped salad and brisket nachos along with a few cocktails. Service was swift and the food was well-paced. I ordered marinated salmon and Chinese-style sweet, but what I received was a dry salmon finger and overcooked, mushy broccoli. As for good, table was ready 15 minutes early, personable accommodating waiter, and sea bass was incredible. On the other hand, horrible atmosphere. Basically, the restaurant intended to put as many tables as possible in a single room, at the expense of any privacy. The surrounding tables were practically dining with us. Additionally, 14 oz filet mignon was ordered with high hopes but it was a big disappointment. As for my suggestion to anyone looking for options, STK Steakhouse, where we dined the night before, earned 5 stars in every single aspect."
