"This was our first time that we ate at The Round About grill. It was my Birthday so my wife said pick any place you want to eat. We had driven past coming back from Appleton on our way home to Manitowoc many times and saw it looked quite busy, thus, they must have good food!! So I thought it would be nice to go for a drive and try it for something special. Wait staff was very nice and friendly and checked on us a few times while we were eating. My wife ordered The Chefs Choice (Shrimp Tacos) the Wednesday Special!!! It was really really bland. The 2 tacos each had 4 shrimp in them which was a nice serving but there was no flavor at all. The taco just had shredded lettuce inside with a dash of some dressing like mayo. She had me taste it and it definitely needed some taco seasoning or old bay or even a dash of garlic salt would have helped. It was suggested to us that it came with a pasta salad but it came out with potato salad. I told my wife to say something to the waitress but she didn't want to make an issue out of it. I ordered the Mushroom Steak sandwich (med rare) with fries. The sandwich I received was a Hamburger with onion rings and BBQ sauce on top of it. That was enough, I took it up to the bartender and told her I ordered the Mushroom Steak Sandwich. When I got the correct sandwich it was done real nice (Med. Well) and the fries were very good but by this time my wife was done eating because she just picked the shrimp out of her sandwich and a couple of bites of the taco shell. The burger itself was very good and a nice bun but there was this distinct flavor of like a grill oil instead of butter on the bun. Why would you not use real butter on a sandwich. It really threw the flavor way off. I hate to complain because I know what is like serving food because I just retired from operating our restaurant for the past 40 years. Quality and consistency are the keys to success and I want these owners to do well especially in these tough times. I just hope these comments can help to make them stronger and successful in their future."

"When I placed the order online, I mistakenly thought I was ordering from the truck, which is partially my fault. However, I believe it would be helpful for them to display the food truck's phone number on their website. When I arrived at the truck to pick up my order, I was politely informed that my food was actually at the store, so I made the half-hour drive there. On the way, I called the store 11 times, only to receive an automated message each time. Eventually, they called me to ask if I was still coming for my order. I explained my delay and mentioned the phone issues, but they just responded with, "That's interesting. How much farther away are you?" I found that a bit rude, but I let it go. When I arrived, they were in the process of packing our food, and I appreciated that it was freshly prepared considering the communication challenges. The employee there apologized for the phone problems, mentioning it had been down for the last hour. I suggested they consider using call forwarding, and he said he would look into it. Overall, the pick-up experience was pleasant, and the staff seemed friendly. Once we got home and tried the food, it was decent. My fiancé had the sausage, and I ordered chicken. I would have liked a bit more meat in my dish, but I still enjoyed it. He particularly liked the coleslaw and mac and cheese, although he found the sausage a little dry. The mac and cheese seemed slightly overcooked, which could be attributed to the half-hour drive home. As for the roll and cornbread muffin, they seemed store-bought and weren't anything special. The muffin was small and dense; I only managed to eat half of it before deciding to toss the rest. I'm not sure if we'll give this place another try, but I wish the owners and their family the best of luck."
