"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"Have eaten here several times. Was surprised that with a reservation we were still sitting at a booth looking into the kitchen. We could have asked to be moved, but we didn't want to. The waiter was very enthusiastic, but failed to fill glasses of water without being asked. My husband's lasagna was a huge brick in the middle of an unadorned plate. A little salad or something green and crispy would have been nice. Not an à la carte fan, especially when it comes to the price of the main course alone. The room was very dark and a bit noisy. I would ask not to sit in this area another time."

"Our server was such a delight, he made the whole experience amazing. The food was delicious, the burger was just perfect. The onion rings were great too. The salad dressing was excellent, I think it was either cilantro or mint. I would buy it if they sold it separately. Perfect spot if you are in the mood for burgers and fries Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch"

"The food here is fantastic! I ordered the lobster bisque, which was delicious and packed with a generous amount of lobster. I shared stuffed quahogs with my dining companion, and they were equally amazing. The person with me especially loved their shrimp tacos. The prices are reasonable for quality seafood dishes in Rhode Island, especially given the waterfront location. Our service was excellent as well. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, with lovely decor. We sat in booths near the bar, which offered a nice sense of privacy. The outdoor area is also very attractive and provides a wonderful view of the water. I will definitely be returning in the future!"

"This place is located inside of the indoor building of farmers market! I've always wanted to eat here. I finally got the chance this past weekend while visiting the market. After walking outside and enjoying the fresh air and outdoor market. It was nice to step inside and sit down in the acat the oyster bar, where you can watch them shuck the many varieties of oysters from different states. Greeted by the bartender with a smile and some good southern hospitality! They have a wide variety of seafood and there were many options to choose from. I started with the crab shrimp chips. These were very unique and tasty. Served with a decent amount of seafood which is a plus for me! A nice spin of seafood nachos on potato chips. For my entree I ordered the lobster roll Connecticut style. It's warm lump lobster on a soft toasted bun served with warm melted butter. Yummy! It took me back to my childhood when I use to live on the east coast and we would order these. Don't let the $26 price tag detour you from ordering. It's definitely worth it. They also have a New England style to choose from if you prefer a cold lobster sandwich. Many people around were ordering the oysters on the half shell so I can only imagine those are one of their most popular appetizers! All of the food looked like it would be delicious! I definitely will eat here again. They also are a market so you can get your fresh seafood to take home and make your own meals! All seafood at market prices. Not many places you can go like this place and have a nice lunch and get some to go and take home to make an awesome seafood dinner too! But you can here! If you are in Dallas and want to check out the Dallas farmers market sit back and enjoy a brew and some good seafood, then I definitely recommend you stopping by and checking out Rex's!"

"We were able to be seated for lunch right away. The oysters were good and very fresh tasting. The fish sandwich had thick, tasteless, breading and so I pulled most of that off. The actual piece of fish was flaky and tasty. The clam flatbread was good. The big drawback, and my reason for the 3 stars, was the waiting for food time and the waiting for the check. I think it was because the servers do everything as needed, so there wasn't a designated server per table. Tipis included with the bill, again probably because no designated servers. It is frustrating when tables come behind you, eat, pay, leave, and you can watch it all. Was happy to finally be able to pay and leave to enjoy open Newbury street."
