"I don't go to chain restaurants. I prefer locally-owned places. Decided to give this local restaurant a shot. Hadn't been there in decades. One can tell that they are trying to go for an upscale feel, but seems like they don't put enough back in for upkeep. They have a large focus on Pizza, but no draft beer. I ordered the chicken parm, and my better half got a small pizza. The pizza and the chicken parm themselves were very good. The chicken parm came with a side of pasta, but that was it. It caught me off guard that nothing else came with it, or was even offered when we ordered. No bread, no salad, nothing. It seemed that our waitress was really struggling. The small dinning room was only about a third full, but everything seemed to take a very long time. I don't blame the wait staff, I blame the management for not properly training their staff. I think this could be a really nice place if management/owners stepped up a bit."

"I visited tonight for a birthday dinner, and it was a fantastic experience. The pizza was outstanding, the beer was excellent, and the pretzel was gigantic! I'm a big fan of the McNellies restaurants. We ordered the meatball pizza and the supreme pizza, and the medium size was more than enough for two people—it was basically a whole sheet pan of pizza. The Haven-style crust was just right, and the toppings were plentiful. There are lots of TVs, but the atmosphere was quite loud, making it difficult to hear the people at our table. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable and patient with our large group, which I really appreciated. Overall, a great night out!"

"We ordered two pizzas for delivery and I was pleasantly suprised to receive two hot, thin crust, crispy pizzas that had no soggy spots on the bottom of the crust and actually held its shape when you picked it up. The taste of the crust was very good. The pizzas looked perfect when we opened the box, so much so that my daughter who usually could care less about pizza gasped at how good it looked. This is not greek style, nor is it thick crust, so if you don't like thin crust this is not the pizza for you. The ratio of cheese and sauce to crust was good. The leftovers heated well in the toaster oven. The only negative is that the toppings were not evenly distributed as three slices had no pineapple or jalapeños on it, that was disappointing. I would order from here again."

"Located on Rainey Street, Salvation Pizza offers large slices of pizza until midnight every day of the week. They specialize in New Haven-style pizza, which features a thin crust that provides a satisfying crunch. The flavor is outstanding, making it a standout option compared to other nearby pizzerias. Each massive slice costs around $6, making it a fantastic value. If you're searching for late-night dining on Rainey Street, Salvation Pizza is definitely one of the top recommendations. If you find yourself in the area and craving a late-night snack, I highly suggest stopping by. I would rate it 3.75 out of 5 for its delicious food and overall value."

"according to the standards of its environment – a shopping center before location – franc pepes from bethesda offers a reasonable pizza and decent price-performance ratio. according to the standards of his name encoder, frank pepes from new haven, it does not deserve to call himself with this name. the originale frank pepe’s is a legendary pizzeria, one of the world-famous pizzerias, with some of the best tasting teigs everywhere. the teig at the location bethesda is, quite open, suburb mall pizza. somewhere between the recipe, the ingredients and the kitchen training, was missed quite a lot. they should change the name. the existence of this suburban mediocrity violates the mark."

"We had reservations for our Thanksgiving dinner at Lindens this year. The food, wine, and service were fantastic!! I loved that we had a mix of traditional and non traditional foods there was more than we could finish, and the waitstaff couldn't have been more attentive. The ambience was wonderfully romantic. My husband and I were tucked into a comfy corner table that, with a lovely bottle of wine (Cora Montepulciano) made the meal so lovely and memorable. The restaurant itself is more contemporary in feel, but the wood finishes and colors and low lighting made it feel very cozy and warm. My only one very tiny complaint was that pumpkin pie was the only desert option. I'm not a fan, so no desert for me. BUT, it didn't detract in any way from our overall experience, and my husband loved enjoying two slices of his favorite pie! If we're ever in NYC again for Thanksgiving, we would not hesitate to enjoy our holiday meal here."

"We had Shrimp Scampi Ravioli and a glass of sauvignon blanc. To start, we enjoyed a wedge salad with a tasty chunky blue cheese dressing. Despite being too full for dessert, we had excellent service from our server, Michael. My dining partner had the pappardelle special with shrimp and brocolli rabe and enjoyed it. It's a mystery why we haven't dined here before, considering we've lived in the area for 20 years. We will definitely be returning."

"Great vibe. Very high end so if you 're more of the pubs that smell like puke kind of person I 'd recommend you stay away from this place. Lets see..service was great, the 'Wine Tender ' took time to explain the different types of wine, all to our blank expressions since we had no idea what he was talking about. The decor is awesome. Something NY isn 't used to..nice decor. We 're so damn lazy when it comes to visual creativity so walking into a place with a great look is always appreciated."

"Having read all the great reviews I was super excited to give this place a try. Unfortunately it was neither the experience nor product I was expecting. As soon as I came in the stench of a stale fishy smell hit me. The two people there seemed very burdened by my presence. It was so uncomfortable I wanted to just turn around and leave but I had made my way all the way up there so I really wanted to give the place a chance. I steeled myself and made my way to the counter where all the fish seemed limp and graying. I scoured each tray hoping that there was one viable option and that this trip up here was not it in vain. Ultimately I couldn't find anything of even average quality. It was a very disappointing day as I had spent all this time researching the place and looking forward to it. I really hope the product quality and service improves at some point or there may be a continuation of disappointed customers : It may have just been an off day for them but this was just my experience."

"We came here for karaoke and decided to have dinner as well. The waitress is wonderful, and the food is delicious! My mom says the fish and chips are better than Jimmy's. Plus, Leigh Henry is amazing! We highly recommend this place!"
