"Visited this restaurant at 4/9/22 after a break due to problems in the past at this (and many other) location. We have no idea what has changed in this place, but WOW! The service we received was absolutely fantastic. The food on the bar was fresh and repeated several times while we were there. The manager was visible and worked as hard (at times harder) than the waiting staff and other employees. It was a pleasant change to see this level of teamwork. It was obvious that they were short employees, but they did not allow them to stop from complete orders and pride on their work. Great job! You have changed our opinion and opinion of this institution!"

"The experience was excellent, with Kelly providing exceptional service as our waitress. She ensured that all of my food preferences were met without any issues. The food arrived promptly, within about 10 minutes, and was both delicious and served hot. The staff accommodated our seating preferences without any fuss, which was greatly appreciated. The restaurant offers a wide variety of food options, including a breakfast bar and salad bar, which I particularly enjoyed."

"We were a complete party of 9, including some friends (and their children) we had met for dinner. We waited nearly an hour for our food, then when the food did come out, it was cold. Two of our children had to wait for their food. Our waitress abandoned us for 80% of our visit. Refills were neglected, our cornbread and biscuits were missing as well. We had to ask for things repeatedly when she did appear. They were not busy, as we saw multiple employees standing around. We spoke with the manager who only offered free desserts for our young children, after 8:15pm by this time. After we declined the desserts, as they were NOT going to fix this situation, the manger only offered a simple apology, then disappeared. Nothing else. He apologized and disappeared. Unbelievable. Our waitress reappeared to deliver our checks. We are extremely upset and disappointed. As we sat waiting in the dining room after speaking with the manager, we noticed him speaking to another upset party not far from us. We paid for our full bill. We paid for cold food and having to wait to watch our children eat. We paid for a lack of service, and no support from management. Avoid this Cracker Barrel, as it seems the quality and attention to food and the guest experience is second-rate. We will not be returning to this location, nor any other Cracker Barrel which is a big loss for us, as we have had many wonderful memories and meals at various locations throughout the country. A stop at a Cracker Barrel has always been a tradition on every roadtrip where/when possible."

"This place is sort of a Friendswood institution. Been here a long time, back when good restaurants were a rarity in this area. That’s about the best I can say about it. It’s not what it once was. Food is inconsistent in quality, portion size is acceptable. Quality of the food is the main problem. You never know when you come if the cook is happy or not. It shows up in the food. Sometimes it’s great, other times it’s not. Considering their entree prices, it should be excellent. The place stinks of sewer in certain places in the dining room. Probably a problem in the kitchen, but the odors end up in the dining room. Service is not consistent. Sometimes it’s great other times it’s meh. If you don’t want to be there, do everyone a favor and find something else to do besides waiting tables. If the original family still owns it, it’s time for new ownership. You can tell whoever is managing it is either just loafing or is incompetent. In case you’ve not guessed, I don’t go there anymore. The last straw was taking my son and wife there for a birthday celebration and the pork chop was like shoe leather. Seafood wasn’t much better that day, either."

"However, when I arrived right at opening, the place was chaotic and disorganized. The two hardworking staff members at the counter were completely overwhelmed, and it appeared that the manager—a dark-haired man in a Pie Hole shirt—was unhelpfully milling around, distracted by his phone while the employees struggled to keep up. There seemed to be others in the back who might have been able to assist as well. I felt really sorry for the two staff members, as the operational issues and lack of support were really a management problem, and none of it was their fault. My order wasn’t ready when I arrived, and I ended up waiting over 20 minutes for them to box the pies, which weren’t labeled. To top it off, they hadn’t pre-sliced the pies as I had requested during the ordering process. With no time left to wait for them to slice the pies, I decided to leave. Not only were the staff overwhelmed, but other customers waiting in line, some for over 20 minutes, were just trying to order coffee or a slice of pie and were confused by the lack of anyone at the register. The two staff members were clearly doing their best, but it was apparent that more help was needed. I sincerely hope they can improve their staffing and, most importantly, their operational leadership. I love supporting local businesses like The Pie Hole, but at $40 per pie, it’s hard to justify when the overall experience was so disappointing."

"Today we stopped by our local restaurant for a quick breakfast and I'm glad I did. The wait was about 10 min. We were seated at the table my husband wanted, and we glad we sat their because our waiters were very attentive. I want to thank Ms. AMY all the great work she is doing. We had some great dishes and I just wanted to share them below. I want to thank the young lady Cassandra for stepping in to assist our waiter Adrian getting our food out...great team work If you haven't checked out the establishment, and want to eat something fulfilling , with a great atmosphere...you should definitely stop here to eat!"

"I normally don't complain too much about fast food when I go through a drive-thru. But I expect a lot better quality from Frisch's than this. That's what's supposed to be a big boy with extra tartar sauce. I went in and saw the manager showed him my pictures and he gave me a credit for a whole new big boy so he did take care of me and he was a little disappointed in his cooking staff for what they presented to me. I don't expect perfection when going through a drive-thru for fast food. But this was a little disappointing to me. Especially for a Frisch's that I have been going to for over 30 years. So I'm going to edit my review. To five stars Reason is I returned with my credit from the store manager for the bad experience that I had and they absolutely made it right and knocked it out of the park. This is a delicious big boy and is everything that a big boy should be. You made it right guys and girls. The original execution may have been all off par. But making up for it exceeded what I expected."

"We went to RT’s for the first time to celebrate my daughter’s 14th birthday. We were a larger party (party of 13). Our server was very attentive. The food was fresh, hot, and very tasty. We went on a Tuesday and the restaurant wasn’t very busy. We were seated in an area with just us. We brought our own cake to celebrate and our server provided small plates, forks, and even a lighter to light the candles on the cake. He took pictures for us. Overall, it was a great experience. I will definitely be coming back. Thank You RT’s for your great service, food, and hospitality."

"This was the first time two out of the three people at our table had eaten at Cracker Barrel, and we had no complaints. The food was well portioned, and our waiter checked on us frequently. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, so it wasn't too crowded. We didn't have to wait long for our food or drinks, and they were taken off when we needed them. We had a 4-month-old baby with us, and he slept peacefully in his stroller during our meal. The bathrooms were clean, and the store was enjoyable to stroll through after our meal."

"restaurant review: “The Angel Hole” – hidden shady arm! in my search for so many of our local (within 80 miles from home) restaurants like I can and mining for restaurant shadez, I think I have found a real “Hidden Treasure” in “The Angel Hole” restaurant back in the hollers of cadiz! we found this little restaurant by chance after checking out “The Pier” in the prizer point resort before a few weeks what we enjoyed. we have found many good restaurants away from the beaten but this little restaurant is great! it is a ma pa art restaurant, and with tons of village charme, and the owners and coworkers are wonderful people, but it is the eating that radiates even the friendliness of the staff! we speak here “WOW!!!”, at least for my taste! if they let this place starve, it is definitiw their own fault! the prices are also very reasonable. this restaurant receives the price “Biggest fish Filets” in the opposite and they are perfectly cooked. in serious, the 2 pieces fish filet eating is enough for most big eater and if they have a hollow beside, then the 3 pieces fish meal will also fill this! lol! in serious, the portions are very generous, and very, very good! their white beans were perfectly cooked; the pommes were also very good. we tried the fried pickles that were very good, and despite thicker than I like, the taste of their fried green tomatoes was good, my wife thought they were excellent. there is also a connected ice cream shop that has some very good chocolate shakes, and their homemade peace pies will be legendary as soon as the rest of the opposite of them finds out. that a restaurant inspired me to create a completely new category – “Gut Buster”, because they want to eat until you feel like it could be full! lol! seriously if they like wels, this as a “must TRY” dunning goal, because it’s really so good! this has earned a 5-star rating, in my humble opinion, and I am happy to take family friends to try this place. they will be closed the week of working day, but after this week will be open again. "The dining area is kept cleaned, which is a big deal for me. The employees here are very friendly. They check in on you at reasonable intervals. I ordered the spicy Big Boy with no pickles and fries. Everything came out perfectly. For my drink, I had the sweet tea. If I had known that it would come with a ton of ice, I’d ask for light ice. Other than that, everything was great."

"The restaurant is currently understaffed, but despite having only one waitress serving up to 10 tables, we still received good communication and were informed that it would take a bit of time to take our order. We were patient and understanding. Once we placed our order, our food arrived as ordered within 15 minutes and was delicious, as I have come to expect with their omelets. I hope they are able to hire more staff and return to full functionality, as it is a diner that my family and friends enjoy visiting from time to time."
