"Trusting the favorable reviews, I ordered a birthday cake 2 months in advance for my partners 60th birthday. The cake was VERY hard, VERY dense, VERY heavy and dry. It was not moist, soft, and fluffy. It seemed almost like the cake was stale. Baking is a very precise, scientific artform that Fiona's failed to execute properly. They also did not make the cake with the correct filling. The frosting and filling was supposed to be white chocolate. They made it with dark chocolate. And there was one inch of frosting between the cake layers. Who on earth puts an inch of frosting in the middle of the cake?The frosting was very thick, heavy, and almost disgustingly sweet and there was a 3/8” layer of filling between the layers which was WAAY too much. Very disappointing to spend $140 for a 10 cake for a very special, milestone birthday, ordered months in advance and it will go in the trash. The only positive was that the cake was very really pretty. Definitely would not recommend a Fiona's cake. Terribly disappointing, especially for the price."
