"First of all, the tacos are fantastic! However, I find the prices to be quite high. They explain the increased costs by saying "costs are rising," but charging over $30 for six tacos and a horchata seems excessive to me. Given the restaurant's location, I appreciate that the food is great, but when I dine in, I expect the ambiance to reflect the price I'm paying. The atmosphere is rather basic and not at all what I would expect for such a high meal cost. When eating out and paying restaurant prices, you anticipate a pleasant environment and a welcoming feeling, but that's not what I experienced here. I sincerely hope they reconsider their pricing and work on enhancing how they treat their customers."

"My husband ordered a cheesesteak Gyro for me. I asked pacifically for the white sauce, not the tiger sauce but the white sauce he told them that when my husband brought my food home we did I didn’t have the sauce on it. I called them they said nobody made that kind of cheesesteak Gyro I called they called me back. I spoke to someone else, and I was still talking and a person hung up on me. They told me to call back tomorrow when the manager is there because the manager made it well tomorrow I’m gonna call back and if they don’t make this right then I’ll make my rating tomorrow"

You'll definitely get a lot for your money, as the dishes are reasonably priced. I recommend trying the breakfast or Mr. C's wrap—they're both fantastic. His chicken quesadilla is also a must-try. Everything is fresh and made to order, so you won't be disappointed. If you're in a hurry, you can order in advance; the turnaround time for takeout is about 15 minutes, which is quite good for made-to-order meals. Be sure to check the menu for daily specials. I've enjoyed both dining in and taking out. As for dietary restrictions, everything is cooked to order, so you can customize your meal to your liking."

"I am incredibly thankful to have such a wonderful cafe near my home, and I would gladly make a special trip to visit. This place is truly unique compared to other coffee shops and cafes. The coffee is delicious and can be flavored with clover or ginger. A modest but special selection of baked goods always satisfies me, along with other tasty options like foul and breakfast sandwiches. The owner, Mimi, adds a special touch to everything she makes and enjoys experimenting with new foods and flavors that she offers for sampling to those who stay awhile. I recently tried a few of their smoothies over the weekend and they were outstanding! Ultimately, what keeps me returning is not just the reasonable prices or the quality of the food, but the warmth and generosity of the family that operates this establishment and all they do for the community. I highly recommend checking this place out for yourself!"

"The food was great! Literally everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! We ordered the ackee and saltfish cups for appetizer. Delish! I ordered the steamed snapper with lobster tail, rice and peas, and cabbage. Omg it was amazing! And my aunt and uncle both ordered the curry goat and oxtail combo with rice and peas and cabbage. There was not one thing that wasn't absolutely amazing! We also ordered a side of festival which was PERFECT as well! The only complaint I have was my drinks. I ordered a mojito and was told there was nobody that knew how to make it. Which was fine, so I just ordered a jack and ginger ale. Our waitress brought me a jack and ginger beer. (I hate ginger beer lol) so I told her I'm sorry can I get a jack and ginger ale instead of ginger beer please, I don't like ginger beer. She apologizes and brings back another jack and ginger beer and runs off. So I walk over to the bar with the drink and tell the bartender listen I told her twice I ordered ginger ale, not ginger beer and she brought me the same thing twice I thought she understood me but i guess she didn't. He tells me well unfortunately we do not have ginger ale. I say, ok so I'll take a jack and cola. He pours my new drink (for the third time) I get back to the table and take a sip and it's definitely not jack and cola. It tastes like cognac (which I also hate) I tell them this was the third mistake with my drink and they said well I'm sorry but you're going to have to pay for 2 of them I can only take one off. At this point I don't even care because the food was so amazingly good. I will also most definitely be returning because of how delicious it was, but now I just know not to order any drinks from there. We drove an hour and a half for some great Jamaican food because the food in North Port, FL SUCKS, and Dunns River Island Cafe did not disappoint!"

"I work in this area every day and pass by this restaurant regularly. I finally decided to give it a try. Upon entering, I was greeted by a young lady who, without me asking, shared some recommendations that the locals enjoy. I ordered two pieces of chicken, including the upper legs, along with a side of French fries, some mashed potatoes, and a soda, all for just $5.89! They had fried chicken ready to go, which was fine with me, but what really impressed me was that she offered to wait five minutes to bring me a fresh bun. That's the kind of service that makes people want to return! The chicken was hot and fresh, with a unique seasoning that made me savor every bite. Five stars!"

"This was our first time ordering from this restaurant, and I was really hoping for a delicious meal. I’m happy to say they did not disappoint! The Galbi was incredibly tender and absolutely mouthwatering. The Bibimbap was sensational and lived up to our expectations. "Hats off to our favorite spot! Every dish we've sampled has been outstanding, but the Ruck Chicken is a definite must-have, accompanied by the greens, plantains, and insanely good mac and cheese. Portions are large enough for two to share comfortably, and the prices can’t be beat. The service is always top-notch. This place never lets us down! Even though we moved to Georgia a year ago, we still make sure to grab three dinners to take home whenever we visit. It’s that amazing!"
